Quit gaming because you WANT to or because you HAVE to? Two completely different things.

I've never planned on quitting.

Yes, for 5 years period ( 2005 : 2009 ). Old habits never die I guess.

i quit for a few years between nes and snes. i was 11 years old. Nintendo raises the experienc to a new stratosphere every gen. So no.

In the mid 90s the early polygonal games really put me off the future of the time so I barely touched games in 96-98 until Ocarina of Time made me see how polygonal based games could be done right.

I honestly never seen myself quitting completely. I only have gone as far as to stop console gaming for a while. I think I'll always have the desire to play video games, whether they are console, PC, or mobile.

I cut back considerably about 3 years ago. I almost completely gave it up aka I sold my consoles and games but then League of Legends showed me the light. Now that and Battlefield 3 and Starcraft 2 and some other steam games are all I play. But lately its just been League of Legends since my time for gaming is considerably less. But I am in the process of Upgrading my PC even more for battlefield 4.

I had quit for a few years, but once i became i single parent with kids asleep and nothing to do, i started again.  the break left me with loads of titles still to play

I quit for a couple of weeks. Got way too much done. Decided to pick it back up to ensure that I don't accomplish too much in life. :)
