Now then, Yes this might be Over Doing It but here me out. As of now with the world saying Handheld gaming is dying, PSV doomed, 3DS will be doomed (yes i still see this online), but i say STFU

Its about time the longest rivals Sony+Nintendo put up a fight and keep the gaming world alive (handheld). With 3DS having over 33mil and with PSV almost 6mil, i can see the 2DS appeal especially in the west and a great price point coupled with pokemon/zelda/mario doing fantastic numbers! PSV gets a new model but honestly it'll bump sales but lets be real, it wont by a big margin make a difference, but who gives a ****. PSV TV the new Gaming Wonder set at a price point of $99!

With PSV TV it could easily triple/quadruple vita sales imo. Key success is price point and great functionalities. (You all kno about ps4 remote play/etc).

☆Fact~ Nintendo is strong with Handheld as it has great games! 2DS despite ugly look will be a very attractive price point especially holidays where it has potential to sell at $90-$100 each! ($75-$90 next year or year after).

★Fact= Sony despite psp great sales psv struggled, but ps4 soon to dominate hard and vita to get some boost along with it. But then again thats not why im saying Sony will dominate with in sales. In fact its the PSV TV. Not a Handheld but might be technically included #s with the vita. If so then we're looking at huge sales from potentially 6 sku's (PSV TV/PSV/PSV Slim/2DS/3DS/XL)!

Who says handhelds wont sell 100mil+? 3DS might be on its way! 33mil with over 40mil guaranteed by years end! PSV TV with the potential to sell 20mil-80mil units! Vita will get more software support as well due to Vita TV!

What the hell do you people think? Can both psv+3ds (if sony combines the numbers as a handheld of course) make over 200mil sales?

just keep gaming for the big 3! Nintendo still owns handheld though... Vita TV isnt handheld anymore, but will count with vita sales >_<

I think it all hinges on the price. They need to be significantly cheaper than the home consoles.

I am unsure, because people really seem to be rejecting the Vita in an unexplicable way. Reviewers are harsh on Vita games, judging them against home consoles rather than 3DS games. Theres definitly alot of value on getting a Vita now if Sony can make sure to bring all those games that are stuck in Japan over.

I think the Vita will have a long life cycle in the market because its so ahead of its time. The 3DS will thrive for a couple of years longer but i wonder what Nintendo will do with it after. I cant believe they are in a hurry to release another portable after the troubled 3DS launch.

I also think Pachter talks out of his ass. He has sound logic most of the time, but sometimes he comes out with completely retarded conclusions. He gets impatient and feels the need to draw out conclusions now. Wii U is dead already, Vita is dead already, 3DS is dead already. He can act like an impatient little kid at times. Then, the products reach the level of market acceptance and he gets to eat shoe.

If Sony sorts out the Vita TV to make all major Vita titles compatible and adds its numbers to the Vita's, I could see it possibly getting close to PSP numbers. And the 3DS will definitely pass 100m. Overall I don't think they'll reach 200m but they should still do respectable numbers.

Unlikely. If 3DS doesn't match DS's pace with Monster Hunter, Pokemon and the 2DS it's pretty much over.

The 3DS will maybe make it to 100mil max. No way can the Vita get near that, regardless of all the new concepts for it flying around.

Also, the Vita TV can only play a select few Vita games, ones which don't use the touch capabilities right now. I don't think that's gonna fly off the shelf either.

It's too early to tell if Vita TV will be a success or not, but with the $99 price point I think it'll appeal to quite a few! But I highly doubt 3DS+Vita will reach 200m in sales. 175m tops, but probably less.

But lets say that Vita TV actually manages to sell 75m units on its own. That's not too encouraging for handheld gaming. Vita TV is stationery and thus really a home console - that just happens to play handheld games.

Selling 200m which of half is made up by a stationery portable console doesn't paint a pretty picture.
