Also, I thought PS3 was the more powerful platform when utilized properly, but J Allards says the contrary. First party games certainly favor the PS3, so I'm curious.

I haven't seen J Allard NOT downplay Sony even once with his posts.  He's obviously biased and yet denies it at every opportunity.  The guy just needs to accept his fanboyism but he'll probably just say I'm "catching feelings" because I'm noticing a pattern.

What I posted was written by the same Adrian as the OP.

You know what would help me stop posting about you catching feelings? You not catching feelings anymore. You should probably work on that. Hope that helped.

Could it be that he is taking ease of use into account?  By that I mean how easily a difference can be found superficially.  So for instance, the PS3 is potentially stronger but difficult to program for, whereas 360 is easy and therefore "stronger".  So maybe PS4 is stronger raw spec-wise, but with a little extra work similar results can be attained on One?  I dunno,  I usually just end up disregarding spec talks until we see games, because all but very few people seem to have a real grasp of this.

Based on your logic, good sir, since Microsoft is so HUGE, they wouldn't have let Sony get the jump on them. Since Microsoft is so HUGE. Lol

You have heard from two Microsoft people on the inside say it isn't true and to "wait and see". You have heard from a friend of a friend of a guy of his wife's boss who is a developer for some company that...PS4 is more powerful. Who do I believe...?

It's like this. There is a faucet of information. Microsoft is the faucet connected directly to the water source. Whereas the information you got has been circulated through this massive, complicated piping system. Who knows where it's been or if that is even the water from the source, the one Microsoft is connected to.

By the way, before you say anything about Microsoft lying, consider this. Sony was sued I believe for lying about console hardware at one point in their existence. Class action law suit. If Microsoft has lied or is lying, you can go sue them for hundreds of millions, maybe billions. See you at the court house? Or...are you speaking out the side of your head? Lol. "Microsoft is lying! Trying to recover what they lost! Blah blah blah! Because I say so! I have no proof! Sony is perfect! They haven't lied to us!"

Puhlease son. Come back to me with proof from AMD's mouth, Sony's backing, and Microsoft's confirming they have a significantly weaker console. Because then, you are right cut and dry. But you can't because AMD has said nothing. Sony has said nothing. Microsoft has said "You don't know everything guys, because we haven't told you."

AMD

Sony

Microsoft

1st link says nothing. AMD was talking about HUMA on the PS4, which the Xbox One has and has been confirmed by Tom's Hardware here. http://www.tomshardware.com/news/xbox-one-processor-jaguar-apu-huma,24035.html

2nd link is discredited by your first link because nowhere in that article does it say anything about power. Did you post that link thinking I wouldn't read???

3rd link WHO is the developer? If Microsoft where hiding something, could Microsoft be sure that developer would not talk if he knew? And it is no longer an if that Microsoft is hiding something. Albert Penello and Major Nelson have confirmed it.

So. Denied, denied, denied. Three times. Try again if you want.

"Microsoft gave a talk about the XBox One architecture at Hot Chips 25 and while they shed light on lots of the architecture there was a fair bit left out." - SemiAccurate

Something is missing that Microsoft has yet to announce to the public. Confirmed.

http://wccftech.com/amds-generation-hawaii-gpu-cost-600-nvidia-worried/

This talks about new tech from AMD that is half the cost but still as powerful as the Nvidia GTX 700 series cards (Xbox One Devkits at E3) and the Nvidia Titan cards. This tech features an APU and second GPU.

AMD talks on September 25th - http://wccftech.com/amd-confirmed-unveil-volcanic-islands-hawaii-gpu-hawaii-25th-september/

The next day... - http://www.vg247.com/2013/09/05/xbox-one-and-some-of-its-exclusives-playable-at-eurogamer-expo/

"According to Eurogamer, Microsoft corporate vice president Phil Harrison will be there to present an Xbox One presentation at 12pm BST on Thursday September 26. The session will also be streamed online on the Eurogamer YouTube channel." - VG247

Do the math yourself.

Tbh idk what the guy is trying to say. It seems he began backpedaling as soon as he become aware GAF was talking about his tweets. He started by saying the PS4 is faster (which does not necessarily mean more powerful) but is basically now saying hardware doesn't matter as much as good developers. His update on GAF basically said yes, PS4 is "right now" faster in development than Xbone, but that hey, 360 was faster than PS3 in many areas and yet 360 has nothing that looks as good as Last of Us.

Of course, PS3 was more powerful. Xbone is not.

But it sucks anyways, no Dev will make a better version for PS4, since they do not want to piss off Microsoft.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

I can't help you. Only solution to your dillusion is time.

And please for the love of God actually read the whole interview before saying what I underlined.

GC: Okay, well this issue is specific to the PS4 and it’s that although no one seems to argue that it’s more powerful than the Xbox One I worry that that power is not going to be used in multiformat games. Because it wasn’t with the PS3. I can understand there not being a big difference at launch but are you confident that’s not going to be the norm going forward?

JR: I think you’re correct in pointing out that multiformat games often develop to the lowest common denominator. And that phenomenon has certainly been apparent on the PS3/Xbox 360 gen. I think these big games now are becoming so big that there is a chance… I guess it all comes down to economics at the end of the day. Because multiformat publishers, they’re rational – well in most cases they’re rational…

GC: [laughs]

JR: They’re rational businessmen whose obligation is to behave in the best interest of their shareholders. So to the extent that we can demonstrate that going the extra yard on the PS4 SKU is gonna result in some tangible financial benefit to them they will. If we can’t demonstrate that they won’t.

Before you criticize my "dillusion", I asked you to provide in order because that order is very specific. I discredited your first your link, which you ignored. Your second link, I'll give you that Sony is confirming what everyone else believes. AMD has not confirmed it, so it's kind of Sony's word against Microsoft's word now. Doesn't matter what you actually think. And the third link? You completely ignored also.

So. On to you and your actual dillusion. There is something you cannot comprehend that is so simple. Really basic. MICROSOFT has said that the power difference is not as big as it seems and that you do not know everything they have in their console. In the Xbox One. What do you not understand about that?

Now. You want cold hard proof of a dGPU in the Xbox One?

AMD has all but said it. But if you gotta wait, you gotta wait. Moral of the story? How about you all approach me with cold hard evidence like I have given you since some of you happen to know what Microsoft has told you that you don't know. Do me that respect besides just saying I am wrong because that's what you believe, no matter the evidence.

Other devs have said the consoles are comparable and it's hard to tell the difference. This won't stop the rumours and is hardly proof. One is wrong though obviously, just wait till the 29th....

Well you can say that a Ferarri and a Lamborghini are comparable but one is still faster than the other .

Umm, ok.... Never debated the fact that one is faster than the other. By reading other responses in this thread it seems as though this dev hasn't even got an Xbox One to work with... Hardly evidence. Please people, be quiet till the 29th.

Interesting, does that mean the PS4 also has a dGPU and on the 29th we will be getting announcements from both companies.  Man, if that happen it would really throw the forums for a loop.  Now fanboys will be arguing which console has the better dGPU.  I hope this is true and both have a dGPU, things really would get very interesting.

DId not the original rumor state that both the PS4 and X1 had a dGPU but MS part was better.
