useless? ?? Getting huge doscounts, free games, early betas and other benefits is useless (Most likely gaikai streaming in 2014)? The sheer number of great games I got through plus is amazing. Pays for itself right away.
I enjoyed playing videos remotely from the PS3 with the PSP but I found very annoying to actually always go in my living room to open it when I just wanted to watch a movie from my bed :)
So this is actually a very good news. (I'm assuming it will be the same for remote play)

I am very surprised to hear this from a guy with Master Chief in his profiel pic :). Yeah this is a cool feature, more features are never a bad thing.

I can understand that it can come in useful in certain situations ... but I wouldn't miss it, if it's not there. So I agree.

Same with me only the other way, I use toown a 360 and still own a PS3.

PS+ is more of a personal reason than this feature. Its completely useless to me. Discounts on games I most likely wouldn't buy anyway. I've had my system since early 2007 and have very few PSN titles and have 2 of them just because of the hack. Free games? Okay, I have Resistance 3 that I bought months ago (for free because there was a BOGO when I went in to buy Twisted Metal for my wife) that I still havent opened yet. Betas are completely uninteresting. Even with the PS4 needing PS+ for online I would be paying more monthly then I would ever play online. It really is a useless service for me.

Many of the games with doscounts are top notch AAA games.............Just boughgt max payne 3 for 7.99...it's 39.99 on steam and at eb games. Why did you mention just Twisted metal and resistance? I just signed up for ps plsu i got:

Hitman Absolution
Vanquish
Not to mention cloud save storage and auto updates.
All free a=nd more added every 2 weeks, chances are yuou will not have bought all thos egames it offers./
They kinda had the with PS3 and PSP, the PSP could be used to turn on the PS3, do whatever, then shut it down.
