Forums - Sony - PlayStation 4 Can Be Turned on Remotely

this is the kind of feature that I will never understand why anyone would really think its useful.

I just bought Journey on the PS Store (Cause it was 4$). Was at my cousins house when I bought it using the online PS Store. It would be cool if my PS3 could turn on and start downloading it and then turn off. When I had gotten home, I could have started to play Journey instead of having to wait for it to DL.

Nice scenario. Still completely useless. You went online while with company to purchase a game? How is this even socially acceptable? It would be like if I were bowling with friends then said, "I gotta run to the store and buy the new playstation that came out. Dont skip my turn!"

Wait a second. Don't you need to have the console like...connected to the Internet to do that?

Not funny, those jokes were stupid months ago. Also, no one is Forcing the console to be online.

Also this is a nice feature to have, don't understand why people have trouble seeing that. See a sale go online and your away for a few days? Perfect time to use this. Forgot to DL that game you wanted to play when you get home? Do it remotely.

A pretty cool feature. Next Gen certainly does keep on looking better and better with all the new functionality!

May be useless to you, but it's gonna be really useful for me and many others.  Like if I'm at class or on my college campus and no where near my ps4 when a game comes out.  Just go on my phone and purchase it and can play right when I get home.  That's awesome to me.

Unfortunately, you're totally wrong about Max. He's a proud Playstation owner.
