Unfortunately at this rate it seems I'll be getting both the PS4 and Xbone before a 3DS or Wii U.

They were released as Final Fantasy games, right? Anyway, to refer to the original post, I'm pretty sure most everyone would prefer a completely new Pokemon game over the 8th release of a FF one. Or 9th. Or 10th. And that's what this thread's about, why people would want a 3DS. So there's that.

I'll take the release of a new Final Fantasy game over any new Pokemon games. In this here case, Final Fantasy XV. ^_-

In fact, I'd rather replay a good classic FF game over any new Pokemon game. 

Re-releasing a game, or porting it doesn't make the game a new one. Unless they're remakes. In which case I added those to the count.

It started because I disputed the points from the OP that says Pokemon games are "Very important reasons why I need a 3DS right now".

For me, there are much better reasons to own one, since I couldn't care less about Pokemon games.

Games like The Legend of Zelda OoT 3D, Luigi's Mansion:Dark Moon, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, Fire Emblem Awakening, Super Mario 3D Land, Kid Icarus Uprising, and the upcoming Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, are much better reasons for me to own a 3DS.

Because it should be categorize by genre. How many RPGs does Pokemon has? the 6th mainline ones and don't now how many more. Fighting games? The Pokemon Stadium games and..I don't know. There's Pokemon snap...on rail shooter? I don't know. My point is that, yes, there are A LOT of Pokemon games, but not everyone of them is the same. Same applies to Mario and FF.

I only buy Nintendo initially for Pokemon main series games, but to make it seem like they're the only reason to get one? For shame!
