Why would they count? They're not different games.  ¬_¬

They were released as Final Fantasy games, right? Anyway, to refer to the original post, I'm pretty sure most everyone would prefer a completely new Pokemon game over the 8th release of a FF one. Or 9th. Or 10th.

I'll take the release of a new Final Fantasy game over any new Pokemon games. In this here case, Final Fantasy XV. ^_-

In fact, I'd rather replay a good classic FF game over any new Pokemon game. 

Re-releasing a game, or porting it doesn't make the game a new one. Unless they're remakes. In which case I added those to the count.
