What Maddona/Lady Gaga has been doing aren't anymore appropriate either but the difference is their fame and popularity aren't so synonymously attached to this child star personality as Miley is. She might be growing up but she still has millions of adolescent fan followings around the world, she isn't exactly setting a good example by acting like a complete utter whore. Its not even sexy (I'm fine with racy, revealing etc like Nicole Scherzinger), her recent acts are just down right fucking disgusting. 

It's not her job 2 set a good example. She might have been a child star,but the fact is,she's no longer a child. She can perform however she pleases. I just don't see how that performance is any worse,then what alot of other singers have done. I mean people are still talking about it a day later,maybe that was the point. If this did'nt get any coverage and nobody bought her albums,then maybe she would go away and all these haters would get exactly what they want. 

I'm not a hater. I just watched the video and found what she did revolting, she is going down the self destructve route. She can do the what the hell ever she wants with her fame and money for all I care, I'm not going to lose my sleep.  I'm not a fan of her, not a hater either.

I just wish for her parent's sake though that she spends her fame and fortune in a more responsible way and not go down the route of Amanda Bynes or Lindsay Lohan. 

Do you really think her parents are sitting at home in front of  the TV and feeling proud at what their daughter is doing?


I don't think her parents really care to be honest.

It's funny watching people call her a slut over some music videos and performances.

I like you.  You seem to never agree with popular opinion! 

People did criticize Madonna and Gaga, though. Especially when Madonna changed up her persona and hung with Black Jesus (like a prayer) and shit REALLY hit the fan when she decided she was a dominatrix (erotica).  I'm okay with it, though.  I just recognize the pattern.  Miley will outgrow it.  They usually do.  She'll have a few tattoos and STD's to remind her of this fun time, though.

Plenty of singers have less embarassingly try-hard performances and they still sell well. That's not THE only way to get attention and sales. Many other singers like Gaga are seeking attention, but they also have some talent (don't like her personally) and while they do go overboard, they don't act as if they're making a porno. Britney, Madonna, Michael Jackson and other singers had very provocative performances, but this is corssing the line of 18+ rating. What's next? Performing completely naked on stage? Giving oral sex to a man on stage? Seriously, just because some performers are over the top, it doesn't make every performance acceptable. Plus, every time I see someone talk about "haters", I can't help but wonder if they are crazy fans of the singer (not saying that you are) who can't see that expressing a negative opinion on someone, doens't make you a hater. There are tons of states between love and hate. Also, this is a forum, so you can't expect everyone to like her. I'm sure there are fan sites for that.
