If you didn't know already Killzone Shawdow Fall (PS4) is coming Q4 this year and has been making a lot of buzz. According to VGC preorder chartz Killzone Shawdow Fall is 21 weeks away and has already fetched 140k preoders with 21 weeks to go. Though this game is still far from release it is out tracking many tripple A blockbuster games in the same time period. Although the preorder charts on this site aren't the most reliable and shouldn't be taken too seriously it has been an accurate indicator of first week sales many times in the past. It is also performing better than any next gen game in terms of pre orders (Watchdogs was 92k in the same time period as opposed to Killzone Shadow Fall's 140k)

I doubt it. My bet's on Battlefield 4. It's performing better on preorders because people who are preordering the PS4 are the "hardcore" crowd and they buy exclusives before anything else, but that's not nearly enough to outperform every FPS that will be released this year.

Nothing against Killzone. But it cannot compete with the two biggest FPS around.

I would say you might see a Resistance type bump of a launch FPS, but Battlefield and CoD launching, renders that possibility moot.

No, no, no. COD and Battlefield's first days will likely outsell the entirity of PS4 HW.

It won't even be close.

Could it outsell the other next-gen shooters? It is a possibility, though unlikely based on the sales history of those franchises. However, it will not outsell Call of Duty or Battlefield on current gen systems. Way too much of an install base for that to happen. It will also not outpace any combination of the different versions of those two franchises. Its pre-orders are looking really good but I would keep any hope for it to outperform those games in check. Especially since we haven't seen the multiplayer yet. If the multiplayer doesn't get people excited when it's revealed, get the thought out of your head immediately.
