You didn't ask for proof that VGChartz numbers are accurate. You asked for proof that they are CLOSE to accurate. And this proves that. After all, if the 3DS wasn't selling in the first half of this year, why did Nintendo ship more consoles? How have they managed to convince retailers to buy over 32 million consoles if they haven't sold CLOSE to that amount?

Just admit that it has been proven that VGChartz numbers are close to accurate in the matter of LTD 3DS hardware sales. That's a simple thing.


Everything is total guesswork, my good man. Did you know that Bulletstorm sold less than 1M (and by sold I mean shipped). VGChartz has sold, retail numbers at 1.51M.

he is using shipped numbers, he believes 3ds sold only 2.6mil this year... Yes 2.6mil, when i clearly tell him he's wrong lol

You are unbelievable. Don't avoid the issue. You asked for proof, and I provided it. Now admit that it has been proven that VGChartz has close to accurate numbers for lifetime 3DS hardware sales.

Otherwise, your skepticism is so great that I don't know why you bother being on this site, or anywhere people are discussing things that are not 110% precise at all times. Ever.

Back on topic, for the 3DS to sell 20M this year, total number of 3DS shipped by Nintendo by the end of the year has to be 49.85M. That means 17.37M 3DS shipped in the next 2 quarters and that's assuming that all shipped units are sold.

As a side note, the best the DS managed in those 2 quarters was back in 2007 where it shipped 18.68M.

All that you proved is that vgchartz LTD sales numbers are close to Nintendo's LTD shipped numbers. That does not prove that vgchartz sales numbers are close to actual sales numbers.

Just make multiple Military accounts. They accept them with in a week.

 

No site is safe from trolling, and life is not fun without it. That is one of the reasons to come here. ALong with our weekly numbers.

DS will call the 3DS its papa by the end of the year.

Why do you think Nintendo would have to ship another 17 million 3DSs? Maybe the 3DS has actually only sold 20 million consoles. Then Nintendo would only have to ship another, what, 7 million? Hell, maybe it's already sold 20 million in the first half of this year, and was just way overshipped from last year.

Or maybe the 3DS has sold exactly zero consoles so far this year and will sell exactly zero consoles for the rest of the year. Maybe it has yet to sell a single console, and Nintendo just keeps shipping them to anyone who will take them off their hands.
