your right, imo i think pokemon Z is likely in 2015(maybe an early summer release) and remakes afterwards (2016). The game can sell between 16-18mil without a doubt, im just asking does it have a chance and now i would answer a very good one. Never seen this hype with the last 3 generations, i was too young to notice hype for the first two(even thoughim from tht era). I know is that this game better get the good scores it deserves. Its literally keeping the best parts of pokemon with expanding so much content that has yet to be seen between new gens! of course this is all my opinion

they'll never sell those games low, look at other older games, they still dont sel under $30 in fact they sell at $50-$60 (games from gen 3+4)

i think it will be big but im not sure if it will break gen 2.... i hope it does... but gen 1 would be really hard to break.. that time... the anime was big which contribute to the great number of games sold world wide...

I think you are overestimating the influence of internet hype and bundles on sales. I don't see any particular reason why this game should break 20m. I'm a huge Pokémon fan, mind you! But so far there is only anecdotal evidence (people telling their subjective feelings) and I see no hard numbers to back the "bigger than gen 2" claim up.

Also, bundles won't make a big difference as they are usually very limited. I don't see any reason why the game can't sell 15-20m but I don't see any evidence pointing to 20m+ or a minimum of 16m. I hope it does well, though.

how can you prove it? This generation has done so many things to push pokemon to the limit, this is the first time in a long time older pokemon fans are joining back in to play pokemon, there is no proof exactly a game can sell 20mil or 10mil, But at the same time this generation is the first that i've seen this hype about. Just like we kno the ps4 will definitely beat ps3 launch in terms of sales but at the same time, there is no proof am I right? X/Y has a good chance to do at least 18mil, and 20mil+ is possible, much more than the last to generations for sure :)

its a possibility it could sell 20M + but its a unlikly.whith the hype thing i was to young for the first 3 and i didnt really use the interent till after gen 4 came out so i dont know but i remeber ther was a lot of hype for gen 5 and a alot of pepole who hated every thing they were showing this time around i havent seen much negative things said about this gen.

This is what I meant when I said anecdotal evidence. Judging by internet hype the Wii U and the PS Vita would both have been a huge success and the Wii a total failure. I can counter this with my own anectodal evidence: I have more than half a dozen close friends who played Pokémon on the DS (yes, really). Only one of them (and myself) will buy the 3DS games though. Does that mean the games will only sell 1/3 of the DS games? Of course not. Again: I can easily see this crossing the 15m mark. I just don't see any evidence it is more likely than any other Pokémon game to break 20m. I hope they do. The games look great. 

its guaranteed to sell more than b/w easy, idont care if the user base is 33mil vs 140mil+(DS at that time)
