Who believed them when they said the Xbone needs Kinect? They were just desperately trying to sell the value of the Kinect when currently it has none.

No value? None at all? To who? Your opinion is the opinion of everyone?

Has Microsoft shown anything that justifies paying an extra 100$ for it?

I actually like how it's being implemented into Dead Rising 3, that and the voice commands for bringin up snap and changing the controllers. There are a lot of subtle experiences to be had with kinect, you can't say there is no value.

For you...

OK then I will wait until Gamescom when Microsoft "starts over" in showing off the Xbone and reintroduces it to see the extra value in the Kinect. :)

PS Nation on the defensive mode... chaaaaaaaaarge.
I'm trying to find info about the implication of the Kinect mandatory removal on X1, here I read bunch of excuses and and justification why "my soon to be toy is better than yours".

Chill people.

I thought Dead Rising 3 was going to use the tablet? IF the Xbone uses a tablet the PS4 will most likely be no different. I never said theres no value in the Kinect but its used up its publicity.

I smell fear. Soon the X1's launch price will be $399 and people know it.

It should be that price. More people will buy it without the Kinect.

Glad they changed that, if I get a X1 the kinect isn't leaving the box.

i doubt they changed it at all.  i mean the thought of kinect breaking and the system become useless would get a major shitstorm

''It makes gaming better in many ways – from the ability to say “Xbox On” and get right to your personalized homescreen, to the ability to control your TV through voice''

Wait what!? What do any of those functions have to do with gaming?

Wasn't there a poll way back that stated PS3 owners watch more Netflix than than the other 2? What does this have to do with gaming lol?

I posted in the other thread that this is good news.

On par with the DRM 180.

Don't the XB controllers need to Kinect to work properly?
