''It makes gaming better in many ways – from the ability to say “Xbox On” and get right to your personalized homescreen, to the ability to control your TV through voice''

Wait what!? What do any of those functions have to do with gaming?

Surprise, gaming consoles can do more then games.

That wasn't what i meant, he is saying that those functions make gaming better.

This is great news for those people worried that their Titanfall sessions were being filmed and sent to Obama, chronicling the human race and beaming the archives up to the planet Fultor in anticipation for the Snarlack invasion.

Or for anyone hoping MS introduce a bundle without kinect for a lower price. Thinking at least $350 since it was stated kinect costs as much as the console. Or am I dreaming figures again.

Not gonna happen until the console is years old

Probably true. But at least now I know it CAN happend.

The people that are bitching about this are the very ones that have no intention of buying an Xbox One in the first place.

i cancelled my X1 pre order when they removed certain features

Right...

And it does...Like in Halo 4 (you can use Kinect for in-game command) or Mass Effect or the ability to switch controller and detect automatically where you are and switch the screen...

The fact that you do not care about that or can live with it does not nullify it :)

Could be, used to own Kinect but never for any command functions(i think those weren't even available at the time in my country). I wouldn't dare using it with a date around though, pretty sure it would be game over with her once i say Xbox On.

lol... yah
Actually; especially in Halo 1 - Remaster (did a mistake by saying Halo 4), my kids know how it worked out before me and were always coming in the room yelling "Grenade"... It took me some time before to understand why I was throwing grenades without actually pushing the button for it (I even thought about buy a new controller) :)

Who believed them when they said the Xbone needs Kinect? They were just desperately trying to sell the value of the Kinect when currently it has none.

No value? None at all? To who? Your opinion is the opinion of everyone?

For you...

you mean core gamers?

Stop trying to pretend that all core gamers things that Kinect is not adding anything valuable; it is almost insulting me who consider myself as a core gamer to see other gamers on the internet stating such ridiculous things...

For core games, maybe it would not add a big giant new super cool feature of doom, but it adds some nice to have stuff. And even if it is not to "core" gameplay, stating that Kinect is not adding any value at all is just plain riduclous.

Adding value and forcing every buyer to get one is two different thing. Chances are we don't need Kinect at all  to enjoy the xbox fully, but MS is pushing it at us, but sooner or later, they'll change their mind, they do it all the times now.

June or September 2014, believe.

Haha yeah i can see how that could be a problem, kids these days figure out tech faster then we do.
