Monster Hunter

Not buying another monster hunter until it's on vita. I refuse to use or pay for that massive money sink piece of plastic

I'm not familiar with this phrase?  What does it mean?

Monster Hunter requires a peripheral attachment, the dual stick pro pad or whatever.

When you say "requires," I'm assuming you mean that you can't play it comfortably with its default controls (touch screen).

There's always the 3DS Recommendation Thread, which includes every retail and eShop 3DS game above a 72 MetaCritic/GameRankings score, separated by genre.

Don't forget that the 3DS is fully backwards compatible, so if you have any questions about some great DS games, there's a link to the DS Recommendation Thread in the OP.

I hope you enjoy your new gaming device. ^_^

yes. If I wanted to play it in an uncomfortable way, I'd just play it on psp

IHateLife is right. I can back that up.

Fire Emblem is a good choice. My patience paid off and will get Fire Emblem too with the Black 3DS.

3DS XL that is!
