I don't know how to feel about this list. I might sound like a condescending jerk but can you expect me to take a list that has Halo 3 as one of the greatest games on it? The greatest games of the last twenty years? Here's mine.

Super Metroid, Metroid Prime, Earthbound, Super Mario 64, Super Mario Galaxy, TLOZ: Ocarina of Time, TLOZ: Majora's Mask, TLOZ: Wind Waker, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Skyrim, GTA: San Andreas, Batman Arkham City, Kingdom Hearts 2, Sly 2: Band of Thieves, Uncharted 2, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, Rayman Origins.

Boom.

 

You cannot be taken seriously when you list Skyrim over Half Life 2. What a joke. Half Life 2 did a lot of things when it came out. 


Did I say it didn't do anything? I understand it was remarkably innovative for the time, but now? It's a pretty basic game in my opinion. There are far better adventure FPS titles. And Skyrim is a great action RPG. I don't understand why it gets so much hate, I loved it from the beginning all the way to the end. Sure the story telling is pretty bad, but the true experience comes from exploring and doing side quests. I think it's all a matter of preference.


The review was made during its time. THIS IS NOT A TOP 10 LIST.

Skyrim was a mediocre game riddled with bugs. Nearly everything about skyrim was mediocre and it is not a great action RPG. Witcher 2 outshines it in terms of action RPGs.

I find it interesting how a lot of people don't even read the headline before posting that this and that game don't belong in this list.

I always liked Edge for using 5 as the score for an average game, not 7.5 as the rest seem to do. As much as I find it odd that they didn't give 10 to RE4, Metroid Prime or GoldenEye I can respect that others have their own individual opinions.

Nope I'm 33 years old and I still play mario games beacuse they are for everyone not only for 18-20 year olds  who think they are "hardcorez"

I love the game, I love Zelda games but Skyward has way too many issues to get a 10. 

- Worst overworld in a Zelda game

- Way way too much hand-holding 

- Controls could be good or awful 

-The imprisoned

It had some of my favorite dungeons but the game felt like a bit of a mess and had too much filler.
