Not to be a dick but this list is a joke. Honestly. The games I just listed above are among the most overrated I've ever played. Hell, The Orange Box isn't even a game. It's 3 games, HALF LIFE 2 BEING ONE OF THEM I MIGHT ADD.
I don't know how to feel about this list. I might sound like a condescending jerk but can you expect me to take a list that has Halo 3 as one of the greatest games on it? The greatest games of the last twenty years? Here's mine.
Super Metroid, Metroid Prime, Earthbound, Super Mario 64, Super Mario Galaxy, TLOZ: Ocarina of Time, TLOZ: Majora's Mask, TLOZ: Wind Waker, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Skyrim, GTA: San Andreas, Batman Arkham City, Kingdom Hearts 2, Sly 2: Band of Thieves, Uncharted 2, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, Rayman Origins.

You cannot be taken seriously when you list Skyrim over Half Life 2. What a joke. Half Life 2 did a lot of things when it came out.

Did I say it didn't do anything? I understand it was remarkably innovative for the time, but now? It's a pretty basic game in my opinion. There are far better adventure FPS titles. And Skyrim is a great action RPG. I don't understand why it gets so much hate, I loved it from the beginning all the way to the end. Sure the story telling is pretty bad, but the true experience comes from exploring and doing side quests. I think it's all a matter of preference.
