Mario 64 completely revisioned a franchise and made 3d platforming popular. Mario Galaxy was an amazing game that showcased the Wii was capable of having a game with great visuals and gameplay.  I think they should have only included one Galaxy game on the list though. Still the Mario Galaxy games are amazing.

Your post is a bit hypocritical. You whine about the variety and there being only sci-fy fps then you say you agree with the fact that Halo appeared twice. Half Life 2 is on that list for a reason. Even if you've been too brain warped by consoles to grasp why.

The Last Of Us shows how low standards have fallen, that a merely well put together game gets a 10 now.

How was Skyward sword a market failure?  It just followed the trend we have seen with Zelda since the NES 25 years ago.  The first game on a platform always does the best, and the follow up sells significantly less.

There are a lot of people out there that only care to play one Zelda per generation for whatever reason.

 i could care less about a baised list that most in this thread already pointed out, never said i agree with halo being on there twice only the origanal halo if i were to use 2 halos it be the original and reach anyway.  maybe PC devs needs to get there brain un wraped so they can start on HL3

That's not how it worked.  They didn't just pick the list.  These are the scores the games got when they were brand new and reviewed for the first time.  Edge doesn't give out many 10's, so the list is pretty short.

The only one that I seriously question is the Rock Band one. Why, exactly, did it get a 10? There are many games within the last 20 years that I can think of that deserve a 10 more than Rock Band 3 does.

No Metroid, no Final Fantasy, no Fighters, no Mega Man X (this was 20 years ago almost exactly), no MANY things that deserve a 10 much more than Rock Band 3.
