You like that kind of game, but you're missing that not everyone enjoys games in the same way. I don't want experiences, I want worlds. Not every game needs to be finished.

Thats the point of experiences, to create worlds and fill them with meaning while you're in it. Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, Final Fantasy (post six) Mass Effect, The Witcher, Dragon Age, Fallout, Halo, Batman Arkham franchise, Skyrim, Assassins Creed, InFamous, The Last of Us, Uncharted all accomplish multiple feats when it comes to this. Mark my words, next gen the experiences will be less linear.
Cathrine is a game, but because of the fact that you're trying to survive while playing a game it becomes less of a game and more of a survival experience. You're in a really....really...really bad dream.
When SOTC first came out it set the bar for how you touch people with gameplay without having to say a word. It wasn't easy, especially the last boss the first go-round but eventually you look back at the experience fondly.

I am against everything your view of gaming stands for.

The Last Of Us has a beautiful sound track that is unmatched imo.

Because you're afraid of the evolving nature of games. Nintendo will always be there for you. Luckily for me I am more open minded and enjoy new games and evolved experiences.

No, Nintendo has gone all cinematic in precisely the way I hate as well as well. Skyward and Other M. And Mario has just been drained of life, there's no world to explore just a series of developer placed obstacles.
I don't believe change is inevitable and I'm certainly not paying for it when it happens.
Gaming is practically dead to me right now.

The first three Mario games were developer placed obstacles. Super Mario became about worlds only once, truly in Mario 3D and then Galaxy. Sunshine, should've been a new IP and felt like they just threw Mario into it just to make money off of the name. It didnt feel inspired in any way shape or form much like Star Fox Adventures. They owe us a true Star Fox game.
You dont have to pay for change, change is going to happen despite your frustrations. Progression is the force of human existence. Conservatism only serves to hold people back from possibilities. Gaming today is more sophisticated than its ever been.
I've never felt that i'd played great super hero games like this generation since the SNES era and I realize when I played Batman or Xmen titles. The simplicity made the games great even though they were licensed titles. You just pressed A or B but today you control everything. We have controls down to a science which is why the sophistication seems easy for us, but give the controller to a novice and its a hard game. This was truly the gen for Super hero titles. Sandbox is responsible for turning typical games into experience and also expanding controls schemes. Batman Arkham franchise, Spiderman games, Wolverine: Origins, Prototype, InFamous. Marvel Ultimate Alliance felt like a game since it was an RPG, but that was fun too.
Enjoy your Wii U and buy some old games.

And my point still stands. It is far too varied. You're dealing with how many dozens of studios per label? It's like saying "which are better? European cars or Asian?" It is impossible to answer as some European cars are great, some are shit, just like with Asian cars.

Can't believe you even have the courage to say/write this...
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing
(mostly)
And shepherds we shall be,
For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints
