If not everyone finished the game something stopped them from completing the game. Dragonage had this problem and thats why they dumbed down the next Dragon Age. If an experience is a challenge it does its job of being a tough game and being an escapists dream at the same time.  I enjoy both, but I a game in this day and age without a premise is a bare bones experience. Nintendo games are light hearted fun, just play them without thinking too much. Zelda and Metroid are the only two Nintendo games that ever really forced me to somewhat use my brain. Want to play a crazy game that becomes an experience? Catherine.

You like that kind of game, but you're missing that not everyone enjoys games in the same way. I don't want experiences, I want worlds. Not every game needs to be finished.

Thats the point of experiences, to create worlds and fill them with meaning while you're in it. Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, Final Fantasy (post six) Mass Effect, The Witcher, Dragon Age, Fallout, Halo, Batman Arkham franchise, Skyrim, Assassins Creed, InFamous, The Last of Us, Uncharted all accomplish multiple feats when it comes to this. Mark my words, next gen the experiences will be less linear.

Cathrine is a game, but because of the fact that you're trying to survive while playing a game it becomes less of a game and more of a survival experience. You're in a really....really...really bad dream.

When SOTC first came out it set the bar for how you touch people with gameplay without having to say a word. It wasn't easy, especially the last boss the first go-round but eventually you look back at the experience fondly.
