Forums - Nintendo - The "Wii U Haz No Games" Label Gone In A Month?

Not until Mario Kart 8 arrives in 2014 or one of the games on it becomes a massive hit and legitimate system seller.

Right now, even with the remaining 2013 line up, the system is going to be a tough sell for non-Nintendo fans.

What games are these people looking for?

People wont be able to say the Wii U has no games by the end of the year.

Time is running up Wii U haters!!!

I'm not saying it justifies a $350 price point (though this is probably going to also be gone in about 6-8 weeks too), but the Wii U is out of the "launch window" phase IMO officially now with Pikmin 3 here and Rayman Legends, Wonderful 101, and Splinter Cell Blacklist also coming out in a matter of weeks.

The system definitely "graduates" from being a launch product now.

Yet none of them are enough to justify a 350 dollar purchase.

I beg to differ, the following are well worth the price of admission: NSMB U, Luigi U, ZombiU, Lego City Undercover, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Batman Arkham City and Pikmin 3 before you start to think about the indie titles and VC titles available from the eShop.

That sentiment will change when Nintendo gets its consistency going. I am sure they'll be pumping out large numbers of titles, eventually.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

No, this realisation won't come before the X1 and PS4 launch. Right now there are still way too many people who imagine that the other eighth gen consoles will have amazing lineups.

Bingo. All signs show lineups only slightly more robust than what PS3 and 360 themselves had in their early months. The rest are games that are a long, long way off...

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

It's too bad Nintendo couldn't convince Rockstar on Grand Theft Auto V, would've been a nice title to fill out the library, though it probably would've sold like poop on the Wii U.

that isn't a lot of games

For a system that's 9 months old it's ok. Mind you, for Nintendo fanboys who also use that "it has no games, we can't judge the system yet!" excuse as well, this cuts both ways now.

Yes, that's a shame. At least it get's COD:Ghosts and Watchdogs, the games 'that will not come to WiiU, no way'.
