And I get banned for calling The Last of Us a film... but calling the Wii U low sales justice seems to be no problem at all, right mods?

reported.

for: 1- thread derailing

2- criticizing the mods in a thread were you arent allowed to

3- bashing the last of us.

im really getting sick and tired of users like you who run around yapping complaining about the mods like little school girls who complain about the school principal. your bashing about the last of us in the past has been nothing but out right trolling and you been banned for doing so many times. there is no logic or basis to your claims what so ever. you insist on trying to bash the game and you wonder why you get banned?

then we come into this thread, with the OP stating something rather negative about nintendo and then explains his points with logic and reason. then you come in and post THAT! a post about TLoU in a thread that has NOTHING to do with Sony or TLoU or the mods. and you have the audacity to come in and complain about others? specially the mods team? should the mod team ban everyone who states something negative about nintendo? did you notice that the auther of the thread has NINTENDO in his USER NAME? wouldnt seem logical to say he is trolling nintendo if he likes them so much to put nintendo in his username right?

the reasons why you got banned is you, not the mods team. stop pointing fingers on why you get banned and stop criticizing the mod team because they wont give you the freedom to bash TLoU every chance you get

Nintendo major problem with the Wii U is they thought 3rd party ports and EA's unprecedented support would get them through the game drought .

There second problem is wanting backwards compatibility. So they spend more time tweaking/creating custom design hardware instead of going for ff the shelf modern stuff which would have cost more.

I agree the gamepad cost them a lot too. However I like it, but they didn't show people like they did with the Wii U, why they want the gamepad.

I dont think there was anything special to show about the GamePad and it also has been proven since not many developers have attempted to make games based around the GamePad like the Wii Mote

The gamepad has lots of potential other than playing off tv. Did yuo relaly expect ports and the lack of other 3rd party support would magiclaly create something wonderful?

Also look at the Wii Remote, how many developers truly did anything with it that wasn't waggle controls in the last 6 years?

I dont care about ports.

The Wii just simply had a decent amount of games on it that weren't made by Nintendo. There was indeed those waggle games but i would still rather them have that then what the Wii U is providing now

So what do you think the Gamepad will be bringing? It can't be too much more than what we've already seen. The best thing i saw from the GamePad was that little video when it showed the guy playing golf and he had the Gamepad on the ground and you could see the golf ball in the dirt on the gamepad. He was also using a Wii Mote to hit the golf ball and that's EXACTLY how it should be. The Wii Mote is the main controller and the GamePad is the secondary/optional controller

On the Wii, people didn't really give a damn about a game like Call Of Duty or BattleField not being on the Wii. Do you understand how many fucks would have not been given by people if stuff like that got announced to not be on the Wii? These days, it seems to be more of a situation when a game is announced to not be coming to the Wii U

Also people couldn't even do something simple like adding waggle controls to the Wii U because of the gamepad. They could do that on the Wii and the game could still sell well but they cant even replicate that with the GamePad

So what do you think Nintendo should do?

I think they need something more than just a $50 price drop. They need the Wii Mote along with it

Bring back all those games on the Wii INCLUDING THE SHOVELWARE! lol

So the rationale behind the Wii U's stumbling being interpreted as being a virtue is that failure will open Nintendo's eyes to the light guaranteeing their next console in 4-5 years will be a smashing success?

You should realize if the Wii U's fortunes don't change when all the old standby Nintendo franchises hit the platform and the PS4 and XB1 eclipse it in sales, that the future of Nintendo consoles will be in jeopardy.

If the Wii U becomes this generation's Game Cube, then Nintendo's next console will more likely be a cut spec box in the interest of cut rate production costs to accompany a lower MSRP than Sony or MS. It's not going to be a big improvement over the Wii U, barring any innovative, yet cheap new feature set that runs the risk of being gimmicky or unnecessary.

I think the reality is that Nintendo is acutely aware of how badly the Wii U launch and subsequent first year has gone and that if they had a brilliant fix, they wouldn't be waiting until their next hardware generation to put it into effect.

It doesn't make sense now but it will later on

It's the sacrifice that i was talking about. They can't just get rid of the gamepad like that so they should just pack with Wii Mote in along side it while bringing the price to 250.

It's a sacrifice but they will see success at the end of the day. I know damn well that the Wii Mote cant cost that much to make. What's the worst that can happen? People will "doom" Nintendo? It's not like it hasn't been heard before right?

The GamePad is not bringing anything worthwhile to Nintendos games. The Wii Mote needs to be packed in so that everybody has 1 and all the games built around it will sell like they did on the Wii

I want to Nintendo to make the Wii Mote the main controller again before they start busting out the advertisements for the Wii U. Those "Wii would like to play" commercials were brilliant back then with the Wii Mote and they wont be the same without it

Wait, they don't already include a Wiimote with each Wii U? Not even the deluxe? Uber strange that is, as in order to play local multiplayer games they are needed, and just look at some of their games. NSMBU, Nintendo Land, SM3DW, Pikmin 3, DKCTP, and MK8. All local multiplayer, and they all don't really do anything special with the gamepad minus Nintendo Land. I think they'll have to market the Wiimote at some point if their own games don't even use the gamepad in a significant way.

No because they expected all the Wii owners to jump on the band wagon and user their wii remotes.

Personally i thinkg they shoudl have bundled one.

Then you offer no hindsight solutions to the launch and now you wanna send nintendo to their room with no supper.

What do you mean? I listed things Nintendo had done wrong, all they needed to do was not do those things. Do you want me to list more things that Nintendo could've done differently with the Wii U? There are a few left.

Also, you took those points out of perspective. I don't want Nintendo to make a console that is graphically powerful rivaling the PS4 and XBO. I said the name was awkward at first, now there is no reason to complain about it because they aren't changing it. And I never said Nintendo shouldn't of had the Gamepad. (Although it wasn't planned out well at all.)

How can you defend Nintendo on this when they've clearly done something wrong? The market isn't buying the Wii U, so there are obvious problems that Nintendo need to fix, if possible.

Sorry this took awhile, but I was meaning to reply... then I needed to hop off VGC for awhile to do something.

Why would it take disastrous sales for Nintendo to learn that a console with no games isn't going to sell very many units.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Man, they really did just completely ignore what happened with the 3DS...

Hopefully they will definitely be considering packing it in now with the way their games are.

A holiday price drop is all but inevitable at this point. They can make up a lot of ground with a blitzkrieg advertising campaign this winter spotlighting the new price point and game line up.

"Games are a trigger for adults to again become primitive, primal, as a way of thinking and remembering. An adult is a child who has more ethics and morals, that's all. When I am a child, creating, I am not creating a game. I am in the game. The game is not for children, it is for me. It is for an adult who still has a character of a child."

Shigeru Miyamoto

So you needed Nintendo to post terrible sales for Wii U to finally open your eyes and embrace the dark moment of the console called failure? You are lttp, by months.

I'm not pleased. It is not like Nintendo will magically open their eyes now. "Oh, look. We sold only 160k units this quarter, something's bad"

They knew about the terrible sales way before today. Every month with NPD, every week with Media Create. And then, they choose to delay the games until the second half of the year with a strategy of one game per month. Too bad the perception of the console it is not the same as with the launch. Too bad people is waiting for an official price cut. Too bad the system sellers are dated for the last months of the year. Too bad people is burned for the big droughts, the almost non existant third party support and the most hyped games going to be released until next year.

It is amazing how a company made billons on DS, Wii, turned their new handheld 3ds in to a viable platform, but the succesor of their biggest homeconsole is a big failure in it's first year of its cycle.
