On topic, a generalisation but in a sense, I can see where he is coming from but it's not to do with tutorials, I think it's to do with where their stance has moved. Dragon Quest 9 on DS is the greatest example. It's no longer the case in japan that you can make most your money on the home consoles. Development costs are high, you need decent sales. On handheld, development is cheaper therefore selling the same amount makes more.
