There was indeed a contradiction. Bundling helps create support there wouldn't be otherwise.

There will probably be shovelware. But most people will ignore shovelware and buy quality games. The good Kinect 1 games sold well, while many shovelware games either flopped or had modest sales.

I think you're also ignoring the improvments Kinect 2 has over Kinect 1. The improved accuracy will make more people interested in Kinect and that'll boost support.

As I told you...It doesn't matter if the Kinect 2 can read through your soul, without controling the 3D environment you're basically doing the same thing in a concrete manner as the Kinect one. Sony preached this as the reason they turned down Primesense Pre-Natal. I'll say this a thousand times, you will see very little response and Ryse being a full game instead of still a Kinect game is a testament to this.

Sony didn't have the same vision as MS and that is why they missed out on the megaton success of the original Kinect. Instead Sony cloned something we saw before and the Move quickly vanished into obscurity.

MS said they want Kinect to be used to for new types of gaming experiences. Kinect has already given us experiences that can't be duplicated or wouldn't translate well to a gamepad or Wiimote style control. Hopefully the Kinect 2 will continue to bring innovation to motion gaming.

Dude...I've played both, its the same thing.

Elaborate.

Both what? What was the same?

Then Playstation fans will point out that the PS4 is still 50% more powerful and it's not coming out a year later.

Theres zero contradiction...

I know force bundling will lead to more games, but thats going to cause the Xbone library to get massive shovelware if devs are warming up to motion controls. With Microsofts marketing prowess this has a great chance of happening. Dragon Ball Kinect anyone?

The best Kinect has to offer is truly in dancing games without a motion periphral to help it break 3D and exist in the world without rails.

Of course Kinect had had modest support even though it  sold 20 million units. Want to know why?  Kinect 2 being force bundled will sell significantly more units, but its not telling of demand if its forced. They claim the Xbone cant work without it, so essentially its not really a peripheral, its an active part of the system.

There was indeed a contradiction. Bundling helps create support there wouldn't be otherwise.

Yea without going into detail, you contradicted yourself
