Perhaps Toukiden ain't doing too badly after all and I'm just wishing Monster Hunter legs on everything.

Is it just me or Yokai Watch is a huge bomba?

Few things you would have to think about in this case
#1 it's a new IP
#2 it could have long legs
#3 given the type of game it is, I don't think it was meant to be a million seller
#4 you just a hater
#5 a "huge bomba" for a title like this would be 15k, not 50k

#1 Tokiden is a new IP and opened far higher on a much smaller install base (you also replace "Tokiden" by "Soul Sacrifice")

#2 maybe

#3 Isn't that Pokemon-like game (from what I heard)? And besides it seemed directed to all audiences (unlike Tokiden and Soul Sacrifice which aren't meant for children)

#4 maybe

#5 It sold only half the first shipment, what further proof do you need to realize it is well below expectations?

The real "bomba" will always be Time Travelers and we all know it. And I just brought up a curse that should be used on this thread again.

Wow. One big month for the Wii u and it could go back ahead. Or the Vita could rocket ahead.

I think the main story will obviously be the PS4 and Xbone this Christmas, but with the right games the Wii U could do decent numbers.

I think it could do it in a single week. 222k isn't a lot in December, and the Vita was doing around 200k a week in the holidays. If it does 150k this year, and we consider the fact Nintendo consoles perform better in the holidays, it's not unreasonable to assume that the Wii U could sell 400k in the week of Super Mario 3D Worlds launch (if not higher), removing the Vita advantage (I doubt the Vita will get more than, say, 50k extra advantage on the Wii U from here, if it increases of course.).

This would only come close to happening with a WiiU price cut. No way that it will sell 400k+ in a single week otherwise.

How about we wait and see on that one, yes? I don't see why it couldn't come close to 400k in December with 3D Mario.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

You'd expect an action game to have better legs than a JRPG and vocaloid rhythm game, but it's still good to see. It'll likely settle over 250k when it's all done and be near half a million with the PSP version. That's a good start for a game that will likely get sequels.

Its over Nintendo.

btw I was first :P but yours is better

That's a good one, Turkish.

OT: If we go by Famitsu numbers, then Pikmin 3 really out performed my expectations. Nice that it had an opening over 100'000. I don't think it's higher than its predecessors, but those were many years ago. Things change.

I never knew the Wii U was pulling ahead of the PS3 like that, if only by a little. That's nice to see. (And that big spike for the 3DS is slightly hilarious.)

fixed that for you !

About what I expected for mostly everything. Toukiden PSP legs better then Toukiden PSV legs though.

those wiiu sales are better than the last week but isn't very great. A price cut would've made them gone up a lot higher. Pikmin 3 has a good opening though.

Pulling ahead? PS3 has always been behind Wii U...

As some have said, people don't remember how bad the PS3 launch was (but at least there big titles in the making we knew would sell well).
