I expect it to happen as well. Doesn't change my hopes though.

Worst case it means we're probably getting it Zodiac Job System style
Which ain't all bad for most of us, since few have the Japanese skills to play it without localization.
teigaga said: FFX was better recieved than XII. Also square could push it out in a year if they really want. X remake has taken because they are reluctant to outsource so instead have a very small internal team working on it. Hopefully they outsource 12 and just do frequent quality checks
FFX was only better recieved by the fanbase, FFXII got higher critical acclaim. Also, I hope that FFXII HD is also made internally, as that will hopefully result in it having new content.
BasilZero said: I hope so. I hope they also include Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings as well within it although it would be kinda odd playing a RTS game on the PS3 ;p.
I'd love for them to include a HD version of FFXII Revenant Wings. Even better would be if they remade it using the PS2 FFXII graphics and assets.
outlawauron said: I hope not. FF12 is still very pretty and is not in need of a remake. I'd rather see just about any other older Square release get that treatment.
FFXII needs a HD Remaster because it's impossible to play it on PS3 and PS4. You can only play it on PS2 and it looks awful when upscaled in HD due to the game only running up to 480i.

They'd probably make more money if they used crystal tools to produce main series FF games with simpler graphics, more traditional gamplay mechanics with strong story and good charactisation.
Ttry and produce a game every 18 months or 2 years (different main team for each game), even yearly would be good. Get back to late 90s early 2000s when they produced 8, 9, X, XI and X-2 within a year of each other.
Think about it, 11 came out in 2002, we are in 2013 and have had 3 main series titles since... 3.
That said, FFXII was a fantastic game, it looks fantastic for PS2, it will look fantastic in HD. As long as they make it the International Version, all is good.
Hmm, pie.

For starters, they should port FF Dimensions to PSN/XBLA... it's good and simpler, more traditional, etc.. I bet there is a nice demand.

Yoshinori Kitase and Motomu Toriyama will begin to make FFVII for PS4 once they finish making Lightning Returns: FFXIII. Believe!

It's either they'll start making FFVII for PS4, or they start making FFXVI. I hope it's the former, as I want FFXVI to be made by Hiroyuki Ito.
