Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft Windows chief to take Xbox hardware role

The woman in charge of Windows is poised to lead up all Microsoft's hardware division – including Xbox. Julie Larson-Green is in pole position to lead hardware engineering, a role that Don Mattrick was previously favourite for, reports Bloomberg. It could mean there will be no direct replacement for Mattrick at Microsoft.

As well as Xbox, Green will also lead up Microsoft's Surface tablets. Bloomberg is keen to stereo that the restructuring of Microsoft's senior management has not yet been finalised, and Xbox chief Steve Ballmer may still shuffle roles.

Tony Bates, the previous president of Skype, may also take charge of acquisitions and relationships with software developers for the computing giant.

So this will be MS's Xbox face,i am officially worried .Don Mattrick had been in the videogame industry for quite some time, im not sure Green understands how to deal with this market ,i hope she's a fast learner.

No.

OT -

She has zero experience when it comes to videogames, while Don has been in the industry for most of his life.

This wont be a good move for Xbox.

What? The Xbone? :P

The question is, is she the one the XBOX needs, or the one it deserves?

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
