I agree... somewhat. Personally I think E3 2014 will show if Nintendo has any chance of succeeding here, and if they succeed at E3, we'll have to wait until Christmas 2014 to see what really happens. But if they don't improve by then, they'll need a miracle. And I'm fairly convinced that unless they can pull off everything perfectly until then, they're screwed.

Yes and no. I'll explain.

I like Nintendo. Grew up with them. But when you see the current sales, the way 3rd parties are giving them the rub, etc. it's hard not to be a little worried.

But then I stop and realize that money is EVERYTHING. Games too, but really they are tied to money at the end of the day. For example, if I said by the end of 2014 that the Wii U was FREE to everyone, how many people could honestly say they wouldn't have one? Exactly. You'd have to really hate every Nintendo exclusive.

Now the challenge becomes, since you can't sell the system for free, what cost is worth the price of admission to people. The lower the price goes and the larger the library gets, the easier that becomes to justify. Same could be said for the other systems too.

About the others I predict Xone just bellow 2M and Ps4 above 2M by the end of 2013 and that's it

i'm with you in this one, with all that games coming in the next months wiiu can probably get 10.2 million sold by the end of this year.

Okay, Well, the assumption was made that you thought the impressive lineup would translate to more sales since this is a sales thread and not a taste in games thread.

More sales for the Wii U. I didn't say it would beat anything, but rather that the impressive games lineup will give it a real boost. The OP said that the Wii U is failing and nothing will stop that, so I responded to that.

3ds was failing miserably too but that was when it had no worthy games. wii u is the same right now so no one can say it's gonna fail before the big hitters come this holiday. vita is indeed failing in every sense, one can argue that "the big hitters" haven't released but, no big game has even been announced and it's been 1 and a half year since relese.

Talking about a systems poors sales is not hating it is reality though the OP is framed dramatically for reaction I suppose.

I really do not think Pikmin can do much. Pikmin 1 sold 1.63 million, and Pikmin 2 sold 1.2 million according to vgc. Pikmin is a small IP for Nintendo. Plus, the preorders are low. Why would this franchise be a huge system seller? Everything you wrote seems like you are reaching for something that is not there. The Wii U will not have much of a change in sales in July as the sales have been pretty steady for a long time. Your post is high on Hopium!

i didn't predict anything for july in case you haven't noticed. and i don't see the point of the pikmin example, it's an anticipated title that will give a decent temporary boost to hardware sales.

about the bolded: talking doom about a system that's selling bad BECAUSE it hasn't received it's big titles yet, that is hating, especially when we know the games are coming. the same happened with 3ds and will happen to wii u with the difference that the competitors will be more expensive this time.
