Forums - Nintendo - Can Pikmin 3 take the series to better sales?

Could Pikmin 3 do big things???
I think so...
The Nintendo Land game served as fantastic promo...
I still see Miiverse post stating it's the best thing about Nintendo Land on a regular basis...
Will it do big things???
That's up to Nintendo...
If they really wanted toad it happen, they could push it...
But it's hard not to be cynical with them at this point...

Have a nice day...

I think this will go on to easily be the best selling installment in the series, potentially up to 3.5 million.

If it was a 3DS game, then yeah I could possibly see it, but on Wii U it's tough because the userbase is pretty small and by fall it will be be overshadowed by Zelda/Mario 3D World/DKC: TF.

I think that this is a very good point, being a niche game with all these other popular well known ip's coming out during the holidays pikmin 3 might get lost in the mix. really hope it does well though great series

i think know matter what it'll sell 1.2 million life time sales. Hope it sells well though. Pikmin has become one of my favorite franchises. I feel like it will be hard to keep the series fresh over time though. Story mode co-op could go a long way, and this would be the perfect system to implement it. Hope it happens, but i haven't heard anything about it.

I dont think they can...

The game will do extremely well taking into account the wii U userbase.

I'm someone who hasn't played 1 or 2 but intend to pick up 3. I don't even have a wii U but will hopefully by the time this game comes out

2mil lifetime seens ok to me.

Personally, I hope so. But the Wii U has such a small install base it seems unlikely, which is a shame. Perhaps one day it will become a "main" franchise, but I don't think it'll be this instalment.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

I'm expecting 2-3m lifetime sales which is good for Pikmin.
