Forums - Nintendo - Why does it seem that to be accepted by the Nintendo community, you need to be a hard core fan?

Is this thread about me and my treatment towards you?  I just didn't like it when you sold your 3DS for an ipad.  I considered that a traitor move!  I'd actually be less harsh if you bought a Vita instead of a ipad.

How come it says you haven't added my code yet on 3DS friends list?  I swear I added the right code.  I have no problems adding anyone else yet some reason we can't be friends on 3DS.  Is this payback?

Hardcore fan? You are losing it spurge, to be accepted in the Nintendo Community you have to be a kiddy adult, everyone knows that.

Hey now... I'm a hardcore Animal Crossing player!  Only time I don't cringe when using the word hardcore.

Because it goes against what all Nintendo hardcore fans think. That Nintendo is perfect. They never make or publish games that aren't 10/10, never makes bad decisions, and most of all, never screw their customers like the big bad Sony and Microsoft.

I've often wondered the same thing. I get attacked whenever I criticize any of the big 3, but it seems like, in my experience, Nintendo fans are the only ones who instantly label me as a hater and have difficulty accepting any criticism at all. I guess it just shows a lot of dedication?

I'm still going to get one for my collection one day...

We just don't like you insulting our religion.

Uhh, that's not quite true at all. If anything, Nintendo's is the most factional of the big three communities, since you have people who like old Nintendo and dislike New Nintendo, who like New Nintendo and don't appreciate old Nintendo, those who care more about the handhelds, those who care more about the consoles, those obsessed with certain old franchises over certain others (for my part, i dislike Excitebike, and while Donkey Kong Country games are technically thrilling, they don't fill me with the same sense of wonderment as Kirby or Mario)

The only thing the Nintendo fandom on VGC is mostly (though not entirely) united on is the idea that Nintendo is largely the victim in their relations with third parties.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I'm far from a hardcore fan (prefer Sony mostly) but I feel accepted. Being nice does a world of good!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Loving Nintendo is like being in a complicated relationship. Keep the faith Spurge!
