I'm planning to get it on PC. What happens when I try run it on Windows 7 though? It only mentions 8. Do I get to play with half the game. The cloud half will just show up blank?

| ShinmenTakezo said: What a pile of crap. This developer is full of it. If cloud computing was really driving this game, why is it on 360 and isn't it on ps4? Is he suggesting the 360 is capable of doing the same thing they are bragging so much about that makes the XBox one sooooo powerful? What a liar. I wish someone had the integrity to tell the truth once in a while. I don't know if this is the truth, but I personally think MS payed them a shit ton of money for exclusivity, and they have to spin it so us gamers don't know how greedy they really are. Kudos to them for limiting their audience for some MS cash. They will be begging to be on the playstation systems after launch, if things keep going the way they are now. |
TITANFALL won't come to 360 anymore. Only on One and Windows 8 due to their cloud technologies.
He didn't say anything about it not coming to the 360. Also, Sony is capable of cloud computing. The man is a liar, plain and simple.

Cloud computing (X1) =/= cloud streaming (PS4)

We're exclusive to Xbox One and Xbox 360 and PC because we wanted to focus on one system! ONLY POSSIBEL ON XBONE!

You contradict yourself. On one hand you say cloud and AI isn't a weak selling point, but another hand you say "latency is still a big killer" and you ask what it might look like in 5-10 years time. Do you think latency issues and "come back and see in 5-10 years" are strong selling points for the cloud on Xbone? |
as i understand it, and i'm by no means a real expert, you are absolutly right about the latency being a killer. it's not like the cloud suddenly give a solitary xbone more power to push things like more FPS or the such. the cloud is largely useless in anything single player due to latency.
where it will come in is online games like MMOs. MMO's have a giaganitic worlds. you can have a user host it but it take their power away limiting the overall experience. this is why things like dedicated servers are important. the cloud will act like a dedicated server. ..and should the develooper want to go bigger (MMO) a bigger cloud is even better than a dedicated server.
PS4 will do cloud based stuff too. dhttp://n4g.com/news/1283531/sony-of-course-ps4-can-do-cloud-computing in fact ps3 is already doing it with games like freeRealms, Dust 514 and a couple others. i'm pretty sure there is at least one game on 360 utilizing cloud tech too. some games just need it. but MS's current push is just PR. ..with a bit of worry that the PR (if successful) can be used to justify a "cloud required" (aka always online) mandate even in games that don't need it.
An XBO developer making good comments about the XBO!!! HOW SURPRISING!!!!
