It has nothing to do with the 360 and everything to do with making a thread about something everyone knows the outcome to anyways.  I mean seriously what's the point?

Anyways it actually give me an idea of a real contest that will decide the real winner of 2008 and one in which we don't actually know who the winner will be.  See to me and hopefully all gamers it's the games that matter not how many people happen to buy the system they currently own. 

So here's how the monthly contest will run:

-The console with the highest rated game for the month will get a point for that month.
-If two different games tie then the console(s) that have at least one of the games gets a point
-If the game is multiplatform all systems that the game appears on gets a point as long as the score difference between versions isn't greater than 2.  Any version that scores more than 2 points less than the top scoring version doesn't get a point.

The game scores will be taken from Game Rankings.

 i like that but how about in addition he add some points for hardware sales like 3 pts for 1st, 2 for 2nd and 1 for third or 2 for 1st and 1 for 2nd and 0 for 3rd??

Its obviously going to be the Wii that wins. There might be a few points going to the 360 or ps3 but overall the Wii will win if it sells at the rate its selling now.

This is kinda pointless. We all know Wii will sell the most hardware, PS3 will sell the most software worldwide. If you are looking at it in just hardware sales the Wii will win because its the cheapest and has a huge casual market. If you look at it with best games and most 3rd party software sold across the world, PS3 takes it.

Why do you think the PS3 is so certain to dominate in third party? I mean it has one big heavy hitter coming out this year as far as third party goes (MGS4) but that isn't enough to guarantee it a win for sure.
