Forums - Microsoft - (WTF Is this crap?) So I am not going to be buying the Xbox One, not because I don't want to , but because Microsoft doesn't want me to buy it

Maybe if enough people buy it in a unsupported country anyway, even though it doesnt work there, MS might consider activating the console after a few years. If it gets a steady revenue stream from an unsupported country despite people not being able to use it, the consumer can prove their loyalty to MS.

So what you're saying is... People should rush out, spend $600 on something that they may never be able to use? Do you know how insane that idea is?

As for loyalty, the consumer doesn't need to show loyalty, it should be the other way around, Microsoft should be showing loyalty to consumers, we owe these companies nothing remember.
Besides, in such area's there is no need to hope Microsoft will support a country, there are working alternatives like the PC, PS4 and Wii U that will work on day 1.

Yes thats what I am saying literally. But do I really believe that or am I being sarcastic ? I thought the stupidity of the idea would be a clear indicator for sarcasm. But I guess MS set a new bar for stupidity so people could read that as a legit answer.

There is a fine line between sarcasm and trolling.

Yes, this is not trolling explain to me how. I even posted a second answer that made it even more clear that I was being sarcastic just in case people take it at face value.

On the plus side you will save a ton of money (I don't even want to know how much it would cost to import a X1 into Kuwait) that you can spend on other gaming and non gaming stuff.

It still isn't confirmed yet, right? Even I am starting to question the way Microsoft is going... I hope the best for you :/

Honestly Pardus, I think you evaded a bullet. ;)

Look on the bright side, by the time it gets released in your country it'll have built up a decent library.

Remember when things like regional locking made Europeans not be able to play Xenogears... the shame!

I wonder what mastodon within Microsoft came up with all these restrictions. It has to be an old fart that's become stubborn and self-centered as hell due to his brain shrinking of old age. On top of that, power corrupts.

They will eventually release in most regions in the next 2 years. But since the 360 wasn't released where you live, you probably won't get it ever. Sorry! Not sure what Microsoft is thinking...

You live in the UAE ... is it released there? i live in Kuwait, we import the console from US.

Nope its not released here :( but on the 360 you can change your local region to the UAE so perhaps that's a sign that they will eventually release it here. I think they will release it in these countries in the first 2 years:

Yeah, but its region locked depending on IP , so we won't play it even if we'd change the region settings to local.
not to mention the price is going to be outragous.
