Well I dont think Killzone as at the bottom of the list of franchises Sony wants to continue. But its time they really make an effort to do something unique with that IP.

Killzone is a series with a cool setting and mediocre gameplay.

That's opinions that I and a lot of other people do not share. The gameplay is tight (although some do not like the slower more human feel) and I believe the tried to do something different with Shadowfall with your little robot buddy that adds extra ways to tackle the enemy and different situations. And the MP on KZ has always been solid and fun to play

The trouble with Killzone is that's all it is, a shooter that does all the shooty bits well but crumbles with any story they try to add to it. The story and emotional attachment to the main character has always been weak.

So if they want to revive KZ, reboot it and get some decent writers in.

Well your views are opinions too and I think most shooting fans share mine.

Killzone is just boring. Sluggish gameplay, bad story, bad multiplayer that has failed to keep a strong following. The series needs to do something very different to achieve a higher level of success.

I was impressed with the Vita Killzone primarily because it was more fast paced and it hit the spot for a portable shooter. Probably one of the more interesting stories in a Killzone game as well.

Well I agree with half of what you said as you seem to agree with my previous post. BTW Shadowfall isn't sluggish like 2 and 3 and MP does keep a strong following. A year after 2 & 3 released I was able to find full maps very quickly. Same with Shadowfall 6 months after (not played it for a while). I mean not Battlefield and COD MP numbers but a solid amount.

Well you can expect Killzone to take a long break now.

The fact is having a 2-3 million a game franchis was a big deal to Sony before, especially since they thought it would continue to grow.  But now with 3m clearly being the ceiling for that franchise, and Uncharted selling 4-6m a game and TLoU selling 8-10m it is clear that killzone isn't big enough anymore.

GG was a given a chance to become the flagship FPS for Sony, and honestly they failed - and I say that as a massive fan of the franchise.

Massive disagreement there, but to each their own.

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

[Prediction Made 6/18/2014]

I think Killzone should be rebooted. Scrap everything except from the universe. Set it further into the future so you get more freedom with the weapons (all the weapons I used in KZ2 were basically your standard assault rifles etc.) Give us some unique weapons, and up the scale of the conflict. Actually, just make it a fully fledged Halo ripoff, given that that's basically what I'm describing...

Metacritics: Forza
Sales: Drive Club

Forza as a brand seems to be suffering on the Xbox One. Forza Horizon 2 should of been a breakout hit and wasn't.

No one plays Driveclub. If you ever go to Twitch you are lucky to find one Driveclub stream while Forza 5 will always have 10 or more and Forza Horizon 2 will have 30+. Drivecub is good game but Forza is just on another level.

lol. Predict that DC will outsell F5: "you don't know that. DC isn't even that good. Just wait and see"

DC outsells F5: "well, it's irrelevant anyway. PS4 has a bigger userbase".

I guarantee the same people pulling that flip flop will be the first to say how much a PS4 exclusive game "sucks" if a comparable XBOne exclusive outsells it. "It couldn't even outsell Game X and the PS4 has triple the userbase!".

Seems like people forget that despite the WiiU having sold >10M has games that have outsold some PS4 games, and nobody bats an eye about its userbase. It just speaks to the quality of said games. But when PS4 games sell well? "Oh, it's only because it has a high userbase". FOH

Wait till holidays and you will see a lot of people playing the Halo 5 card LOL

I think that the frequency of release of these games have affected their sales. They should go the Gran Turismo route but hey, dat milk!

Good thing Xbox One has the fledged out twitch app. They know what's up!

Noted: I remember when I first used the Xbox One livestream feature I was required to use the Twitch app, at least the PS4 gave me the option to Ustream as well.
