I feel rather uncomfterble with the fact that if i Mess up with trolling or something, that they can technacilly reveal my name and shiz because Ill be using my college email or another non free email. For those that were or were not on neogaf, is it worth it?

Just don't ever say anything that could in any way shape or form be interpreted to be a conservative thought or anything other than complete and utter worship of transexuals and gays and you'll be good. Also, only troll MS or Nintendo.

I don't think they reveal your name or anything. I have never seen them do it.

Experiences vary, but I find NeoGAF to be a horrendously dull place filled to the brim with trolls and people yelling over each other instead of having any actual discussion. It's good for information, but that only requires reading the OPs, which doesn't even necessitate the use of an account.

I don't like the atmosphere over there. It's one-liner bonanza without much depth to any discussion. Very long threads filled with comments who try to out-brilliant the other person.

PC are the more radical, but there are a lot of sony fanboys on gaf. 

I've been on the site a few times during the time they discussed the WiiU GPU dice shots. Also proceeded to visit some other threads. My impression: A few people with technical knowledge, some devs, lots of people who already would have been banned on VGChartz.

Honestly, I don't get why NeoGAF is as idolized as it is. With the devs on there it is a neat place to get some insider news, but that's about it. The general discussion is on a shitty level, not better than on any other forum. As a normal user I honestly don't see a reason to register since you simply can read the threads as a guest.

if you are a playstation fan sure.  i've only recently started checking it out and i'm thouroughly  convince that xbotters dont naturally hate playstation but its their supporters that make them hate it.  gaf is filled with insiders thats the draw but unless you want to enter the discussions it's easy just to go browse the current feeds.
