I think Liverpool's demise was exaggerated, I think much of it was consolidation with the nearby Evolution studios

Anyway, Bend have traditionally been Sony's portable studio, so I would be disapointed if they had taken this studio off Vita development. Golden Abyss was flawed, but still a decent game. Anyway, I don't see why they would be doing Resistance, the last one was handed off to Nihilistic games

I want a new resistance. I enjoyed Resistance 3 immensely. I've always enjoyed the series especially with the return of the weapon wheel and health pack mechanic.

I also want a new heavenly sword game badly. I would be happy with either one announced and simply static if both are to be announced. Day 1 for me.

God no, I just don't see what people saw in the resistance franchise.
The first game left such a bad taste in my mouth. Let them make something new. They just suck in the fps genre. If Sony insist in rebooting an old franchise let them reboot Rachet & Clank.

Resistance=Big No No.

Id love to see a new Resistance AND Syphon Filter. It would be great to see Insomniac (PS4) and Sony Bend (PSV) do a new Resistance, like how AC3 and the new Batman have handheld tie-ins.

I'm pretty sure that there is no chance for a direct sequel after how Resistance 3 ended.

Second of all I'm pretty sure that Bend develops only for handhelds, now Vita, so if Sony is not cutting Vita support completely, then they won't make a PS4 game.

But a Resistance Retribution 2 would be a perfect fit for a Vita, first game ended perfectly to receive a sequel, Bend developed it and Vita could use a desirable game, for me as a huge Resistance fan, that would be a good incentive to finally. get one, as I would not be worried about the quality of the title, it's Bend after all they have proven themselves on many occassions.



So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Resistances sales have continually plummeted. I highly doubt this.

I'm personally hoping for Jak 4 for Vita.

Agree, but unfortunately they don't want to make any more Resistance game.  But we can have faith like how 343 Industries did with Halo 4.  I just dislike the idea of rebooting a franchise without finishing the previous properly. (this goes to all game/movie franchises)

so i guess Killzone Shadow fall falls under that category! coz killzone 3 ending wasnt great either!

I don't remember KZ3's ending but the war wasn't over yet was it?  If it's not over then don't reboot til its over is what I say.

Man, I guess I really didn't pay much attention to the ending.  Well if that nuke completely ended the war then you can say that's actually over and they can reboot if they choose.

My memory's a little fuzzy, but I think at the end of Resistance 3, they just stopped the aliens/Chimeras from coming to earth (for now), but the aliens are still out there and just seemed like that ending was really only just the beginning.  So to me, that doesn't sound like a franchise that's over yet to be rebooted.  It's been awhile so I can be completely wrong about the ending lol

Pretty much I hate when things are left open ended and instead of finishing it off, they would just reboot it to milk it and fans will continually support it in hopes that the reboot will actually have an ending but instead the cycle continues without an actual ending.
