NO ONES GOING TO FREAKING PIRATE A 50GB GAME.

OMG

Why not, I can download that in a night with ease.  Never underestimate what lengths the pirate community will goto, to get stuff for free.

for a guy with "slowmo" as a name , you have a fast internet.

The trade ins with deactivation can only be done through certain channels.

That us where the "fee" will be placed.

Nothing changed -- except that only certain places will be able to sell used games.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

I get 60 Mb down and 15 Mb up, not the fastest out there but better than average I guess.  Its great that after years of lack of investment the communication infrastructure in the UK is starting to catch up.

You wont need a paid Gold account to activate your purchased games. You can do that via the normal Silver free account.

Sony is rumours of pay to play now for online games. There is just so much money to be lost there as Microsoft showed last gen. 30 GBP/year for Live is so so cheap.

Microsoft has no one to blame for all this negativity but themselves. They really bungled the reveal. If all you have are half-answers then don't say ANYTHING. It just leads to confusion and backtracking. I'm shocked that a company with Microsoft's experience managed to screw themselves so badly. Even their damage control was lacking.

Also, the whole "special exemption codes" thing sounds unwieldy and complicated. I foresee something that convoluted turning bad fast. I hope they rethink some of this.

But im already paying for internet... and for the movies that i will want to watch on XB live.... and for the game that i bought to play.... how can something that is free for so long, all of a sudden cost money?

I really feel that i am beating a dead horse at this point but i really cant help it... this is insanity....

Yeah, because retailers are really going to eat the cost of MS/publishers' cut of the deal. Derp!

I'm not angry. I'm just not buying it.
