More pertinent is - is there anything real about it?

I'm not an expert on hacking. For all I know, these pictures really do show that this person has had access to Xbox Live. Are you an expert? I didn't think so.
I'm not saying its real, I'm not saying its fake. Don't let your emotions cloud your judgement. If this WAS real, wouldn't you want to know? Brushing it off just because you don't like it is exactly what was done with the RROD back in the day. They are isolated incidents, Microsoft said.  Well they are also saying Xbox Live wasn't hacked. They have been known for lying so its alright to be skeptical.

The list of accounts was fake.  The person supposedly had 48 million accounts.  None of my accounts were in that 48 million accounts.  If there are 48 million Xbox LIVE accounts, as reported by Microsoft, and they have 48 million accounts, my accounts should have shown up.  My accounts have been there since day 1.

So there were actually 48million "fake" accounts leaked onto the net?

Who would take the time to do all of this? Random username generator? What would even be the point of faking this? Gaining reputation? Bad PR for MS?

Lots of repeats and garbage accounts.

XBL accounts are a 1:1 with an e-mail account, yet there were multiple repeats of email addresses.  Others were invalid accounts.  Like an email address "ww" and a password of "w".

Wasn't this already proven fake a couple of days ago?

Why keep people bullshitting on the internet generally? About two years ago, we had a kid in Germany saying it had developed a new operating system which would combine linux, windows and osx. Why did he say so? It was clear from the start he had done close to nothing. He modified a linux system (read: installed a custom "skin" iirc) and used wine to "emulate" windows apps.

Yes and of course.

No way!! Not pictures... 100% confirmed ms was hacked!!

If they bothered to fake up some 48 million xbl accounts, you bet yourself they'd spend a much smaller amount of time making up this crap.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

I am certain the 360 was hacked at some point. Remember the FIFA hack, that shit screwed me over big time.

Ah, I remember back when I was a regular member there at Maxconsole...

With that, yeah, don't trust this one bit.
