Was everything I expected. Figured the game stuff would be held off untill E3.

Don't lump Sony into this. We don't know if anything like what's going on with the X1 will happen with the PS4 and the PS1,2,and 3 all had wonderful libraries and focused heavily on exclusives and in the case of PS3 free online to gamers.

We will see about that. Sony has yet to fully clarify how they're going to handle used games on the PS4.
I might be wrong, though.
I LOVE ICELAND!

Nope, it was a nicely done press conference, one of the most professional ever for a console reveal, and I like what they showed.

Good for you.

most underwhelming reveal for me along with the Wii U.
I was pretty underwhelmed by the Gamecube reveal back in the day, but I was waaaay wrong then. Don't think I'll be wrong this time :/

But then, all the other stuff came out, always connected and used game "Fees", and also this: http://www.vg247.com/2013/05/21/xbox-one-live-tv-available-in-us-only-at-launch-requires-separate-device/ Why would I want to pay extra for the live tv functionality? I hope that it's just a rumor, but if it's not then I am for sure not buying Xbox One. |
I didn't read the rumor. But you will indeed need a regular TV receiver plugged into the XBox One via its HDMI IN input to make it work with it.
Basically, the XBox One isn't a TV receiver by itself.
