X360 might have been good for gaming
But it's still freaking Microsoft here
Why be surprised that there would be something terrible like what was revealed...

The majority of the negative rumors were true. It's funny reading all the previous comments about "just watch, the rumors are all false." Meanwhile everything was exactly dead on.
Microsoft is fighting a losing battle at this point. The vision of a 'microsoft connected/integrated future' is strategically the right thing to do for MS, but the reality is that no one will actively pursue the purchase of the Xbox One just to watch TV, skype, or use kinect 2.0. It's just not going to happen. #pipedream
As of now Sony is all about games, social features for gamers, developer friendly hardware and overall focus on software content and great hardware. Microsoft seems confused as to who is actually going to BUY the product.
Microsoft is obviously competing with Apple, Google, and Samsung at this point. Hence this ridiculous focus on 'media center' capabilities. They are losing to Apple, Google, and Samsung. They are going to lose to Sony this gen because they aren't actually FOCUSING on the gaming aspect of the machine, which in the end is the ONLY REASON people buy PS4/Xbox.
Things can change, but as of now the 'chatter' points to Sony being in a strategically advantages position when it comes to game development and overall consumer interest. I fully expect Sony to nock it out of the park with their software showcase come E3. I can almost see the xbox fans gearing up for the defense once E3 rolls around and the software showcase from microsoft ends up lacking any substance.
I was pretty disappointed
+Controller
+15 Exclusives
+1000 FL
+Halo TV
-Focus on Kinect and TV
-Always on
-Used game fee
-EA sports
I wasn't disappointed because I didn't expect much, although to be honest I didn't expect the conference to be so laughably bad for gamers.
The worst thing is that I am now paranoid that Sony may implement similar anti-consumer features. I really hope not.
No troll is too much for me to handle. I rehabilitate trolls, I train people. I am the Troll Whisperer.
shhhh the more I read tech blogs and forum the more I like that fee thing..... will this mean we'll have even less annoying kiddos on XB1 than XBL was keeping at bay???
hopefully yes.... then what could have been the only negative point I have seen so far for my personal use (which wasn't offsetting the positive anyway) might actually become a good point for me... another gate to keep away people that add nothing to the gaming community beside their ranting..... sign me on I'll pay for that HA :P
