Forums - Microsoft - MS will win Next Gen

I'm calling it now, anyone wanna bet me?

Dead serious btw.

The only question mark is whether or not their programming, and TV features will go beyond just the US. If they can do that, the Xbox One will have next gen on lock, I guarantee it.

Oh and please no comments like "fanboy talk" or whatnot, I'll be buying a PS4 as well, I'm a gamer, I don't limit myself to just one option. This is just my honest opinion, that in terms of market potential, the Xbox One will be MUCH bigger than the PS4, and Wii U.

I wouldn't be so sure about that....Jeff Gerstmann tweeted this.

I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.

If the Xbox is the ONLY console available in cable provider stores, then thats a major market that MS would have on lockdown.

And the marketing $$$$$ spent will dwarf Sonys budget.

Forsure Xbox will take WiiU on for 2nd place, its just the issue of mainland Europe and Japan favouring PS4.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Pretty much half this site will take your bet.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

I will be buying it for sure someday but because of the lack of bc and given my huge backlog I will wait for about 2-3 years from now.
Until then there will be a slim version I hope :)
But I think MS has big chances to win this gen, especially if they can seal important contracts for content-delivery-companies like sky and stuff.

yeah that confimrs it... they havent got a chance... lol

It certainly doesn't sound very positive. Coupled with their stock dive, and sonys rise after the announcement.

I personally think they will sell 20% less than the PS4 but have slightly - moderately higher profit due to having a more focused audience and having a larger % of their console purchased in richer areas of the world.

they wont win, they will have very little sales outside north america. PS4 will be dominate in europe and nintendo will take japan, meanwhile in north america xbox will have the lead but it will be competing against to many other consoles on the market to be top dog.

WII U // PC // 3ds XL // VITA

I've already got a WiiU and will buy the other two soon, so at least from dollars spent, i'll be completely neutral.  But if you're predicting or giving reasoning for a MSFT "win" then you should think about or at least address why the developers seem to be giving the PS4 more attention.  And developers aren't fanboys, they make the best decision based on the needs of the business, ie which console will make them more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ .

I'd go as far to say US and UK are a complete lock... US will be a walkover.

other than that, who knows?

Your post might be worthwhile if you gave reasons.
