I hate opening the last page of a thread and having to scroll and scroll and scroll past long quotes.

Users need to make an effort to eliminate them when replying or the quote system needs to be updated to automatically remove posts previous posts.

yea, I hate those aswell and always make sure it's not getting out of hand in the discussions I have

btw, I think it's sad that people with 10k-20k+ posts still often don't give a shit and go on piling up on the quote size

Fully agree on this one, A: For now people need to cut excessive quoting, it's not hard to html old ones out.

And B: Site really needs it's quoting system updated, add a single quote button, and rename the current one "multi-quote" and have it put "older" quotes in collapsed (But expendable) spoiler tags.

I've seen other websites where quotes within quotes are automatically hidden in new posts. Would be cool if VGC did that.

Yeah, I agree. Always try to cut it down for a maximum of 4 or so posts, but even then I often cut out a load of unimportant stuff.
