The tools table has May 11th numbers in it already. PS3 127k to X360's 92K. It looks like 2 more weeks after these numbers go up then PS3 will officially be 2nd.

The war is ongoing and will continue this November . I don't see how 360 taking over NA and parts of EU makes it win the war though. Xbox was already disproportionally strong in NA

lets be honest here msf got alot of past ps2 owners to upgrade to 360, took online gaming to the next level and to this date is ahead of sony at that juncture managed to gain quite a few if not the majority of sonys past 3rd party exclusives besides a handful of exclusives there libraries are identical during gens 5 and 6 it was sonys console you would go to get the gamez remember driver? gta? final fantasy? mgs? resident evil?

Seece was not a good man to many, but he contributed fo' sho.

They did all that and still finished in 3rd though. That's the point of this thread, lifetime sales of the consoles . Shows the strength of the PS brand when MS go through all that effort only to finish behind Sony...again. I also remember 360 having some big exclusives early in the gen and then losing almost all of them. 


i miss Seece even though he was not "a good man" he provided me with the drive to log in and battle

 

yes sony wins with lifetime sales i believe most sony fans knew that in 07, going into next gen with it looking like sony releasing first or same as msf i see sony being ahead off the bat leaving the SDF unemployed i guess thats why ive been generous to msf recently i like being on the defense side

Regardless of whether the PS3 actually passes the 360, I think Sony might claim that the PS3 has moved up as one of the best selling consoles of this generation and has sold the most this past year. Because even if they haven't it would be one of those things like when MS said the 360 sold the most in 2011.

PSP actually got adjusted up to 79 Million

Oh I see, I was wondering how to get figures for other consoles.

PS2 get adjusted up to almost exactly my predicted value. I predicted that PS2 was at 157.38 million, it's at 157.68 million, mind you my estimate is for 2012's end, so it could have sold 300k in the 4.5 months since.

--- PSV got adjusted up to 5 million or so, and Wii gains about...70k LOL.

The gap was at 1.1 million only a few days ago. Huge Adjustements there, what a surprise, I thought 360 sales were tracked well with NDP giving actual sales figures in North America every month.

Hey 8.5 million was not a bad prediction with the rate VGC was tracking GT5. How am I suppose to know that VGC will suddenly make a 1.5 million adjustment up? With the way VGC had it tracked, it wouldn't have sold much more then what I predicted.

Plus the game had stronger legs then any previous GT game. That was unexpected.
