Do we even have some stats on what KH II did on the PS2 leading up to its release or FW #? Because we can't really compare KH III with the remasters or even KH 3D.

Strong day Kingdom Hearts 3!

The latest collaboration between Square Enix and Disney, Kingdom Hearts II, has shot straight in at number one in the Japanese software chart, racking up sales of some 725,000 units in its first weekend on sale.

That's with what, somewhere around 17-20 million PS2 sold in Japan at the time of KH II's release?
So anything around 300k KH3 first week would about match that.
725k is quite small considering the gigantic userbase of the PS2 back then.

Yeah but install base I don't take into consideration considering KHI sold LTD wise more in Japan than KHII (not including the later released final mix tho)
So judge eyes and God eater opened around 150k. Expected according to comg?

God Eater- 150 pts. Right on the money for COMG
JE- 97 pts. Much better ratio than COMG.

Actually I think we use the final weekly totals to make judgement now a days. Stolen from Marth!

Since when? Those have historically been far less accurate.
@outlawauron
Are you expecting Dragon Quest Builders 2 to have initial week sales of around 60k each for both the PS4 and Switch release?
Was 935 points for Smash ultimate closer to its initial week sales than 1,438 points?
Was Red Dead 2's 58 points close? Or was Pokemon's 279 points?
There comes a time to admit that a method is a failure, and maybe at one point it was more accurate to look at the final day's pre-order points as a predictor, but that has not been the case for quite some time.
