I mean, surely a mainline DQ won't do below 1.5m on first day. It has to start picking up. I know the MMO wasn't popular, but surely it didn't sour opinion on the series this much.

DQ 5 was the last mainline DQ to start below 1.5m (actually did less than 1m). That's over 20 years ago. I'm starting to adjust my expectations down a good bit.

With the Switch version it should be above 1,500,000 day 1. However I think this might be the worse mainline total in quiet some time.
