I do actually find the lack of 2K, which is Rockstar's parent company to a bit worrisome. But I don't remember the last time Valve actually had a booth. I know last year they rented a room to show off DOTA and talk about steambox, I don't think they have been coming ever since Steam took off.

i thought they will show us more about steambox this e3 but valve was never really present there and they are still one of the most successful companies in this branch, seems as if it's not really so important to be there.

and yeah, people say 2k has only sport games for this year but i expected them to show us one or two next gen games to be released in 2014,  talk about their "vision" for next gen and whatever...

Valve is almost never at E3 but ugh...this makes me sad. When the fuck are they going to reveal HL3??

@BlkPaladin: Not exactly. 2k is only a subsidiary of Take-Two, which is Rockstar's parent company. But honestly, Rockstar are so big that they can easily hold their own conference/presentation.

And Valve came to Sony's conference when Portal 2 was announced. 2010

yeah that was my mistake. Ok, Take-Two is listed as being there. So it really is a non-story since they can show any games that are coming out in their booth instead of being spread out. And it seems Rockstar is debuting GTA May 18th according to some rumors so they don't need a presence just use Take Two's space.

And I should of remembered that because I was dealing with Jack-of-all-Games which was another branch of Take Two, when I was trying to get a game store going in my area. (Until my partner sold my PS2 and 50+ games, and a bank "recommened" by Microsoft fraudently took all my money, that was a wonderful few years. Don't even talk to the guy any more and the bank was sued out of existance by others they ripped off. And if I remember correctly Jack-of-all-Games was shut down.)
