THQ is also not attending, E3 is clearly a shadow of its former self and will collapse under its own bulbous weight before spiraling into oblivion... Just like Nintendo, the gaming press and AAA Games.

Personally, I think Sony and Microsoft revealing their consoles before E3 is quite telling.
Valve may not be a regular participator to E3, they do have a console to show of.
These are all knives in the back of E3.
Apparently, these 3 big companies don't think E3 is the right place for these big revelations anymore.
Nintendo not having their regular show before the actual E3 starts, is peanuts compared to this.

E3 is clearly losing some relevance this year.

Isn't Valve launching new hardware this year...? It seems to me they would have a lot to gain from having some kind of presence at E3.

I was disappointed at THQ not attending.  I was expecting great things from them at this year's E3.  I guess they'll learn for next year.

Valve normally show a game at Microsoft's or or Sony's conference and that's about it. Maybe nothing to show this year, Half Life 3? soon lol

There some of the biggest gaming company in the industry, exspecally Valve. I would have thought Valve would show case the steam box at this year E3. I'm starting to feel sorry for E3 now.
