Forums - Nintendo - Adam Sessler responds to Nintendo not having a large press conference at E3

Maybe by doing it in ND, they can focus on software exclusively and not lame guest appearances or to talk about ESPN and other non-game related topics for like 45 minutes.

However, my logic would tell me that a big, over-the-top event would attract more watchers than smaller, more modest and split in parts showing. I mean, i've never seen a nintendo direct in my life but I have watched just about every nintendo E3 conference since the Wii was announced.

I love how every Nintendo fan conveniently ignores the fact that the conferences are broadcast on T.V networks into people's homes, which is major exposure, a ND doesn't even compare. But yet they hoot and holler and cheer the fact that Nintendo is just rolling over and giving the ball to Sony and MS to completely drown them in the hype. So please keep up the damage control it provides me entertainment SMH.

It is an issue if E3 is an issue.  If most people don't care about directly seeing E3 stuff, then it isn't a big deal.  Nintendo decides to do things different to get news out, so be it.  It could be we are moving beyond E3 being a big deal with the internet.  You have, for example, Microsoft dropping out of the CES pretty much and not doing the keynote any longer.

Nintendo will be at E3, just not doing a presentation. Will see how huge the impact is for this.  I know people on here tend to think of E3 as a near holiday status, it really isn't.

This is pretty much what I was saying. Nintendo won't be big, but they'll be there. Some people who say that Nintendo needs to get their heads out of the sand might need to take this advice as well. They aren't leaving the event.

I believe they did more than one media event last year.  They had a big one and several other smaller ones dedicated to the 3DS.  I am seeing this as their latest reply.

They probably don't have much to show, so making a big show would be pointless

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

You've been wading in dangerous waters with remarks like this.

I'd also much rather see that lower line removed from your signature, while we're at it...

Nintendo will do just fine this gen.

Nintendo have the franchises and fanbase to do just fine.

They may even once again outsell both PS4 and Xbox 720.

The way they are going the only thing they are looking to sell is Gamecube numbers or slightly better.
