Forums - Nintendo - Adam Sessler responds to Nintendo not having a large press conference at E3

Does it ever occur to anyone that both PS4 or 720 could tank really hard when released. We know jack shit about them, what they are going to cost, and peoples spending habits have changed dramatically since the start of last gen. Quit the Nintendo bashing already, they could even win the next gen, we just dont know.

Why is it exactly Nintendo bashing to state your opinion ? Not everyone that criticise is a troll, it’s better than being a little bo sheep which thinks a company is flawless. Point being mad ehas nothing to do with the 720/ps4 so I'm not sure why youre bringing that into acount. Fact remains E3 is an event which gets fan excited for the year ahead and for them to ignore this in favour of ND quite honestly has me puzzled, much easier to affect a crowd when their all crowded together rather than gather them up each time.

Most of the criticism aimed against Wii U these days seems to come from non Nintendo fans who dislike the company, sometimes i find it difficult to tell genuine criticism from Nintendo bashing. :(

these are my thoughts exactly. Nintendo should have made the best possible E3 by separating the conference and the investor meeting. Why not have a 1 hour conference on pure games for both investors and media then allow them to leave and go to the show floor to play the games. Then let the investors and disturbers stay so they can talk boring stats. It's pretty simple really.

It's quite easy, really. Most (if not all) criticism on this site is considered bashing or hating by the fan group for which the console/company is being scrutinized.

Technically this DOES have something to do with the PS4/720.  Nintendo would be going up directly against their announcements in the main auditorium.  It appears they are trying to take a side approach to combating the hype of their competitors (spreading out multiple announcements).  Might actually work to their advantage having 5-10 hours of mindshare spread out over days vs going head to head with a 1-2 hour big presentation.

I'm not defending or condemning what Nintendo is doing, I'm just stating a potential reason for the move.  Companies (unlike fans) try NOT to do things based off of emotion.  My guess is that Nintendo has some reasoning behind the move.

WORST case scenario is that they have nothing to show, which seems doubtful.

Alarming indeed. All I have to say is amen, Adam.

Nintendo is sticking their head in the sand and allowing Sony and Microsoft to walk all over them. They've gone to their special place to hide in their shell. This is not the Nintendo of old that wanted to be seen. If you ask me, it looks like they've given in for the year to look up at giants.

Sorry, but that is just about the single biggest steaming pile of gaming related hyperbole I may have ever read.

Does anyone know what the auditorium costs per hour/time block? Serious question.

I love how every Nintendo fan conveniently ignores the fact that the conferences are broadcast on T.V networks into people's homes, which is major exposure, a ND doesn't even compare. But yet they hoot and holler and cheer the fact that Nintendo is just rolling over and giving the ball to Sony and MS to completely drown them in the hype. So please keep up the damage control it provides me entertainment SMH.

Why on Earth would an E3 Nintendo Direct not also be included in E3 coverage? I just don't understand this leap of logic that if you take out a 90 minute conference that only the most hardcore gamers watch anyway, suddenly the entire media will just go on a Nintendo blackout. Especially since Nintendo is having an event specifically for the media.

Also, I don't watch Nintendo Directs, and 5 minutes after the last one ended, I knew about Link to the Past 2 because virtually every gaming news site was reporting on it and it blew up. Yet, during E3, no one will be able to see a thing Nintendo is doing LOL

Does anyone even care about sessler?
