Agreed.,and I am more than anything, a PC gamer, and have always been. But I have also been an avid console gamer from about 1987 until about late 2007. I have been a PC gamer for well over 30 years now, though I loved playing consoles games inbetween. When the Xbox/PS2 hit, I really fell in love with the Xbox and its power and playabilty, especially Xbox Live and playing online, along with decent graphics on a TV, though it still wasn't comparable to PC; the PS2 didn't compare. My buddy bought the PS3 when I got a 360, I was unconvinced with the PS3 as much as I played with his system (he even has a 360 as well) as it had issues with programming (think Skyrim) over the course of its tenure now, where the 360 didn't as much.
Having said that, I got bored with console gaming, as over the past 5 years, I have only bought 4 console games where I've bought 20+ PC games and all were available on console. The lack of modding, graphics caught up with what I felt ten years ago with the consoles then. But with this next gen coming up, I don't see the purported adavantage Sony wll have in hardware trumping MS for marketing thier products. Seriously, anything so minute in graphics and power differential will not win the console war. It's not like comparing a 6-core Intel I7 with two Nivdia 690 graphics cards in SLI to another console, they will be close enough in pwer as to make that differnce a moot point. Sony should well think about marketing their stuff a bit better.
