So what? Those are my guilty pleasures. I love lots of dishes beyond that list, but those are the comfort foods.

You really like Pizza. I'm trying to get in the habit of making my own pizza only, since fast food pizza is expensive, salty, and not particularly good.

And yea, Mrica.... It's just meat and carbs on your list, not a vegetable in sight.

Well I do love veggies and I eat them all the time. But fruit is more of a treat to me than veggies and I was thinking more about dishes rather than stuff like apples, bell peppers, etc.

You should make your won pizza. That's what I do. I make all my own food, mostly from scratch. For pizza I make my sauce from herbs, spices, and tomato sauce. I make my own pizza dough, and prepare my own blend of low fat cheeses. I make full size pizza with only 150 calories per slice and it taste great!

I'm not a fan of tomato sauce, so I use pesto or alfredo sauce when I make pizza. Yea 50/50 I make or buy pizza, depends on if I have the ingredients (I usually don't have dough or bread), and how lazy I am.

Do you have an electric mixer? If so, making your own dough is super easy, and fast.

Fast Home Made Pizza Crust

Makes 1 thick crust or 2 thin crusts.

What you need:

Flour - 3 Cups

Warm water - 1 Cup + 3 Tbsp

Yeast Fast Rise - 1 Tbsp

Sugar - 1 tsp

Optional:

Olive Oil - 2 tbsp or less, but at least 1 tsp

Salt - 1 or 1/2 tsp depending on your taste

What do do:

Poor the warm water into your electric mixer. Add the sugar and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes or until it starts to show bubbles and signs of activating. Now add the other ingreadiants and mix using a heavy beater or kneeding hook attachment for your mixer. Beat about 20 times or until you have a single lump of dough. At water or flour depending on if it is too dry or too wet.

Remove from mixer and on a floured surface roll out your pizza crust and tansfer it to a pan. Cover with a light cotton towel and let it sit and rise for about 15-20 minutes.

At this point you can make your pizza. I usualy bake just the crust to finish rising until it starts to firm up. I then remove it from the oven, add the sauce, cheese, herbs and what not and then bake.

Of course you can use any sauce and topings you want. That's the beauty of pizza.

No I don't, the kitchen in my apartment is tiny, I can't even fit my microwave on the table (it's on the floor, where there should be a cabinet, but I guess they wanted more legroom).

LOL

When I make pizza, I usually just use bread, not the best, but it still tastes good. If I have to make dough, I do it by hand, or buy it pre-made, but pre-made dough is only good to eat for a couple days.

Thanks for the tip though.

Ah, the great, unanswerable question. I have dozens of favorite foods, but I guess I'll pick one that most of you have probably never heard of. It's a Nigerian dish called Ogbono Soup. Looks nasty, I know, but it's darn tasty.

It's spicy, extremely slimey, and usually contains spinach, bitterleaf, dried stockfish, crayfish, goat meat and/or beef, as well as a plethora of seasonings The "runny" texture(and the name of the dish) come from ground up seeds which are mixed into the soup before cooking. It's eaten with either pounded yam or eba(pictured). The latter is somewhat bready and oh-so-slightly sour. It's pretty sticky as well.

Made some of those today one of my favorite foods growing up in Germany.

Well you can still make my recipe without a mixer. It just takes hand kneading which I find tedious. Once you go mixer, you never go back.

WHY YOU HAD TO DO THIS?! Why did I come in? :Q________________________ I hate you all.
